Was also wondering if anyone knows of a site like Ebay - but where you can rent/loan things to people? I have searched in the past but not found anything, I have the perfect item to rent, not really wanting to sell it - but it's the sort of thing I could definitely lend out to someone (for the right fee of course!).
I don't know any specific sites, however, that does sounds like a good idea www.rentmystuff.com where you could make money renting things like cars, ski/snowboard equipment etc. Hmmm...
You could try something like Gumtree or Craigslist, but I'm not sure about insurance and contracts that I'm sure you would need?Adam's diary - My Debt Diary - The Challenge | LBM May 2010 with £23,343.35 | £16,141.46 to go...

Snap - We got tesco vouchers for Prezzo and used that for a meal for my birthday. OH gave me money for driving lessons for my birthday so i had a practical gift as i would have had to pay for them anyway.
Well done on the ebay! Sounds like yo are doing well.....i have 2 more bits to list this weekend!
:j:j:j To the overpayment! That is fantastic. I used my £80 birthday money as an overpayment! Though will have to think on my feet if anyone asks what i bought. I don't think people would be keen on paying my debt off as a birthday present! :rotfl:Orange Fairy

I know, you'd think someone would have done it by now, as long as there are contracts and insurance in place you would have thought it would be fine - although admittedly a bit more complicated than Ebay. Perhaps it would work better on a local level. I probably could find someone locally if I asked around in the right places but it's just about the finer points of an agreement which I'm not sure how I'd tackle.Me, DH and DD (17 months) clearing our debt for a better future. Thanks LK - I'm quite looking forward to having a 'free' birthday, I love going out for dinner and the fact that we won't have to pay much (except a couple of drinks maybe) makes it soooo much better!
Good luck with the driving, I agree that's a really useful pressie - perhaps if anyone asks what you spent your b-day money on just say you're putting the money towards more lessons, no one would know either way and I'm sure they'd be happy with that, I would

Just browsing MSE - I've been meaning to look up how much DH's old mobile will go for as he's just upgraded. It's a whopping £36.50! Got to obviously check with him first and make sure he takes all of his info off of it but that's definitely worth a go. :jMe, DH and DD (17 months) clearing our debt for a better future. thanks for popping in.
This diary is definitely helping with keeping focussed. I'm encouraged to see you've reduced yours by so much even when you've been on mat leave. Now I've got to this stage I definitely don't want to go backwards.
I do seem to have noticed that about the OHs on here - sometimes that's most of the battle isn't it!Me, DH and DD (17 months) clearing our debt for a better future.
