Driver who was talking on her mobile phone

I do advise you not to ever have an accident which injures someone. The police will check your phone records and if it can be shown you have used it at any point when you were driving before the accident (even if using it wasn't a factor in the accident) you may spend some time at Her Majesty's pleasure.
:rotfl:.
When you say before the accident......... minutes? hours? days?
Proof of this?0 -
I said to my DH last week it would be a way for the police to make a few quid if they had an "experience day" like redletterdays where you got to be a traffic cop for a day, going round handing out spot penalties to all the people you see on the road who are speeding inappropriately, using their phones while driving, lighting up a ciggy while driving round a sharp bend, letting their kids jump around in the back of the car with no seatbelt on, parking opposite the zig zags on the road outside our local school.....
they would make a fortune and people would love it!
I drive less than 6,000 miles a year and encounter plenty of poor drivers.
However, anyone who complains about someone using their phone whilst driving then admits to texting while driving...they're either a troll or an idiot. At least if you're talking on the phone you're looking where you're going, unlike a girl we overtook driving at about 45mph in a 50 zone dual carriageway - she had slowed down a bit so she could look at her phone while she texted!
we do need to pay attention to what other drivers are doing, it might help to back off a bit from a driver using their phone, likewise anyone else whose attention isn't on the road.Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

OP, you're having a laugh surely?
Criticising mobile phone use whilst driving, (which we all know is wrong and dangerous); then admitting you TEXT whilst driving, which involves even more distraction from the road!!
Excellent troll thread though, if that's what it is.0 -

Care to point out the incorrect spelling?
Traditionally, 'arn't' has an 'e' in it.
Back to the subject, it's much easier to interfere when on a motorbike. Tapping their window or blasting the horn, usually as they drift into my lane, results in a phone dropped into the footwell, or, on one memorable occasion, out of the window.0 -
