    Try this website.

  • Thank you very much
  • Was thinking of switching suppliers today, so went on energyhelpline site, which suggested savings of 25% with Scottish Power
Then remembered Martins tip re cashback, so went through link on MSE to energyhelpline, and savings (still with Scottish Power) have now reduced to 10-12%! £15 cashback or extra £150 pa saving? Hmm, lets think about it!
    How can that be then????
  • Had 2 calls from Sky (of dish fame) trying to persuade me how wise I would be to make them my Gas & Elec provider - sound very good but makes me queasy! Anyone any advice info on their alliance with British Gas and their promises of cut price energy and fixed until 2009? Thanks Trish
  • Can anyone recommend a website that will tell me the most competitive gas and electricity prices for a business. Have just had my latest gas bill and it's a whopping £800.00 for the last quarter.

    Thanks

  • Energy Helpline's savings calculator showed me an annual saving of £200 if I switched my electricity supplier from NPower Juice to British Gas. When the new British Gas contract arrived it showed a predicited annual charge of £80 more than I was currently paying. I cancelled my contract switch (after hanging on the phone for about 20 minutes waiting to speak to customer services at British Gas). I emailed Energy Helpline but they have not bothered to reply to my query to explain why they had recommended a duff deal. I'm guessing they don't have up to date tariffs in their online calculator.

Whilst looking to switch from Np (they have just informed me today that my monthly is going up to £61.50 only went from £38 to £55 in the summer) I also had a look for my 73 year old mother. She is on electricity only and has storage heaters. I assumed she was on ecconomy 7, but when I looked at her bill, she is on 'Flexiheat' with Southern Electric. None of the comparison sites show this option. When I put in ecconomy 7, it looks as though she can save 22%. She was told recently that her DD is going up to £68 a month (2 bed maisonette) which sounds extortionate to me.
Can anyone throw any light on this 'Flexiheat' tariff. It shows up on the company's website, but only at the bottom and has no link,as if it does not exist anymore.
    Much appriciated.
