Guess who is not voting Lib Dem next election

I voted LD as an anti Brown vote - have voted LD in European and local elections before but generally Labour in General Elections.
Now?
NEVER AGAIN - Will support the Greens when I can not feel I can vote Labour, but never the Lib Dems. The fact the part supported the coalition unanimously shows they are a party for sale to the highest bidder
Good point, the Green party could do quite well out of this.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

I voted for a party that wanted an amnesty for illegal immigrants BUT I was actually voting for a party that is putting a cap on Immigrants. I also voted for a party that wanted cuts later rather than sooner and I find I've voted for the opposite. Ditto "Independent schools in the state sector" (whatever that means). Worst of all I also now find I've voted for a party that supports Trident & nuclear power...It's a F****** outrage.
and what's even more terrible I'm not even gonna get to vote them out until 2015. It totally STINKS.0 -
What was the point in voting Lib Dems if you don't want a coalition government? I thought that was the whole point of the Lib Dem vote, I mean it's not like they could ever win it on their own. I think the LDs will be good for the Conservatives, it should drag them closer to centre politics, a bit like new labour without the aftertaste.0

I can understand left leaning, even centrist Liberals being a bit hacked off. But am puzzled by voting for a party that you don't expect to govern. Is it a protest vote? Do you vote on principle because all the policies of the minor party happen to coincide with your own belief? I can't think of a time, or a party where every policy matched my own desires. So even picking a single party has to be a compromise of some sorts. I'm sure a lot of Labour supporters didn't really want a war with Iraq for example, or Lord Mandelson pulling the strings.
So trying to make the best of things as a Tory (this time around) I'm not overjoyed with the Lib dems, but can appreciate they will take some of the hard edges off Tory policy (shooting first borns, etc.). And the Liberals are in power. I'll repeat that, The Liberals are IN power. Surely a result for Liberal voters? And for Labour, well come on, it couldn't last for ever, nothing does. Which is a good thing. Too much going in one direction is not, IMO, good for this country. I don't believe we are either full on Socialist or Fascist.
So a bit of right of centre stuff for a while can't be the end of the world surely? In the words of Winston Churchill... chillax.0 -
Did anyone else get the impression from the Cameron/Clegg speech today that maybe it's going to be an Ant & Dec style relationship? - Will we be seeing them side by side everywhere they go, maybe even sharing a seat at the G20:smileyhea:lovethoug0

The main point of Lib Dems is PR, having more say in gorvernment matters. Well Lib Dems just got more represenation than their vote truely deserved, what is there to moan about?0 -
or maybe like David Owen & David Steel ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yvda9Ek49Y0

Half the people who voted lib dem only seem to have done it out of spite as a kind of abstain vote but now horrifying they are in power
