    Hiya Linz
Just wanted to say best of luck with this project. As usual you inspire, i've decided to do my house up as if we were selling it. We're not but i've had enough of the mess and the half finished jobs. Just think how pleased my husband will be when I face him with a list of hundreds of jobs (and that's no exaggeration!) when he comes home tonight! Good luck and I look forward to reading about your success!
    Big hugs xx

Lynz, I really admire you for wanting to do your own conveyancing and I wish you luck. I would not attempt it myself but you are clever and I think that you will be able to do it so good on you.

    thanks

Ive spoken to my mum today, who advises me
    a) she still has the coffeee table she bought me off ebay ages ago
b)she will go to ikea ( she happened to be going anyway) and will collect the bedside tables, at 11.99 she might not ask for the money ;)
and they will bring them down for me. I do remeber at Xmas she bought me a lovley bath mat, which I left there due to luggage restrictions. Hopefully she will have that still.

In saying that though, currently, Im absolutely shattered. I dont know how people do it, I have been cleaning and tidying all morning ( off and on though naturally) and I could do with going back to bed
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

And the other thing mum said is not to bother with own conveyancing as its a shared ownership flat, and she doesnt think that Id be able to in any case as the HA wouldnt like it.

I agree with her I think

TBH I think that is a wise decision. I wanted to give you support and not put you off but it did sound rather daunting to me.

Yes I think its possible Lynz, just a bit scary. But then I think people doing their own accounts is scary. I think by the way it might be cheaper to go to a conveyancing company than a solicitor. When we sold our BTL flat we employed a conveyancing company and they were very reasonable.

They were based in Plymouth. I'll see if I can look out their address etc.

I will also see if I can find the old paperwork and tell you how much they charged but I remember thinking it was very reasonable at the time.
