    Hi Lynz

Happy to help in any way I can e.g. buy and bring stuff over, lend you spare items for "dressing" the property. Just giz a yell. I live in SW1 (though I don't drive). I am sure we can all render effective collective assistance as a MSE group.

BTW, I have a nearly new pair of cream cotton curtains that you are welcome to have. I can sew some calico on to the back of it to make it lined (and a bit thicker/keep more light out). I will contact you separately about this.

Well done on rising up to more challenges, good luck and we are behind you all the way!!!

    Love,
    Lou

Yay! a trip to IKEA! My OH refuses to go as whenever we go together we end up fighting (he gets stroppy in crowded places - I however am an oasis of calm ;) )

    Wooo hoooo!!

Wicked thats gonna be SO cool

Maybe the best thing to do, when the CC comes, Ill buy the paint, and all the DIY stuff, and get the floor in the bathroom done etc. Do the real proper stuff first.

THEN ill go and buy whats needed right at the end so I dont get paint all over it. And plus this will give me opportunity to beg & borrow before buying.

Altough this is me going I WANT TO SPEND MONEY I DONT HAVE, so Im going to try and put this off right till the end.

So shall we say, Ikea in say 3 weeks? Can you PM you no again mirtos, ive deleted it :o

    Hi Lynz
I wondered if this may help you
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/homes/diy/paintcalculator.shtml
If you need to buy paint then you'll have a better idea of how much you need to get for each room so you're not over spending, also if you're using up or mixing old pots of paint you'll know if you have enough to finish the room before you start (unlike me who ended up with a room of various shades of blue !!)
    Best of luck

    OK so

7.84 of grocery challenge money spent so far ( slightly went overboard in sainsburys where I found bake at home pan au chocolate for 37p for 5, so bought 4 lots :o) Used store cupbaord for meal last night with a few bits of veg purchased yesterday :T

So far on the selling my flat challenge I have bought
2x kitchen bins, toilet roll holder, door mat, 4 pillows for the bed, double duvet cover set grand total 34.32

    Not a bad start.

Tomorrow, me & the OH are starting the joyous task of the glossing. theres a Dulux trade centre near here, we might go there, or probably back to wilkos then we can avoid the taxi cost on getting the paint home as we can do it on the bus. Ill be trying my best to skive on here, but dount OH will let me get away with that one!

SO MUCH TO DO, the flat is an utter tip :o

Also forgot to mention that this 1200 includes sellers fees

And Ive researched it to the death ( me being me and all) and Im going with https://www.housenetwork.com = they give 15% cashback via, youve guessed it, quidco, so thus the figure for selling ( if it sells through them & I cant see why it wouldnt...she says, hopeful) TOTAL £397.50

    SO THEREFORE 1200-
    397.50
plus quote for sols fees ( will shop around more) 550 +vat @17.5% = 646.50

TOTAL LEFT FOR RENOVATIONS & PAINT ETC = 121.93

Am starting to think that Ive been too ambitious with this plan

We need rugs, and three rugs will come to that, even if I buy the very very cheapest
