This particular forum is also about upping your income, but whenever anyone mentions or suggests anything about doing that, they're immediately jumped on and accused of being a spammer. Its incredible, how are people going to find out about income opportunities if you're not allowed to post about them?

Before posting it helps if people read the sub board sticky
The reason they get jumped on are many come on to recruit or to sell products which is not only against the site rules which say

In many cases they also break the company they represent,s rules.
I have observed over time that some opportunities tend to be worse then others Kleeneze being one of them.0 -

As to the products - you name the cling film , it was triple the cost of the stuff sold in Asda and of such poor quality the bit I did sell people complained about.
Last income cheque - £695
No catalogue costs as they didnt change that month, I already had the new ones and wont need to change for another coupla months.
Petrol - I do my customer base entirely by foot, my blanket area is in the next town so it probs cost a pound or 2 to get there and back, its about 3 miles away.
Sponsoring - Ok I use petrol - but I usually book 10 apps in a row on one of the weekend days in the same area so about £20 a week. So fair enough £80 a month on petrol. Who here spends that going to work all month?
2 packs of snappy bags - £2.76
Online ordering costs 7
Ezereach costs 7
Ad in paper £50
I have 8 on my team, quite local. My phone bill includes 500 free minutes and unlimited texts. Rarely goes over £70, which is only £20 more than pre Kleeneze.
As for the cling film - have you tried it yourself? I tested it myself and still have a roll in my drawer. There is nothing wrong with it, and yeah it might be cheaper in asda, but no ones forcing people to buy anything out the catalogue, they choose to. Just like someones mentioned choosing to go to waitrose instead of lidl.
I just think this threads a little one sided, it can work for some people, and not for others. Just trying to balance it a little but I fear it may be an uphill battle!Debt Free May 1st 2009Back to try and get debt free *again*

Er not exactly, the poster may have lot credibility by doing that, but not the company. Big difference.
You are welcome to look back through my few posts here. I can guarantee that I've posted no links and have never asked anyone to pm me. I believe that I've never broken any rule here?

Unless you read the series of posts how would you know. We will have to disagree on that bit.
I have never suggested you have personally broken the site rules.
Look forward to reading your future MLM observations.:D0 -

I wrote this late last year - this is my storyJeanetteathome wrote: »I've read through the forum here and would like to share my experiences Having taken early retirement as the company I worked for was in difficulties I came across Kleeneze as I was at a loss as to what to do with my time , we were at an event with my grandchildren and the parents of one of the other children talked to us and gave us a DVD and brochure out of their car. At first I thought it was too good to be true but with an open mind we had the couple
come round and see us. We were very impressed with the presentation and we signed up straight away with 200 books which we were told was the way to get a head start. Listening to the presentation we thought with my full week availiable it would be a great way to earn a living and as many examples given to us seemed to be part time we were sure we could do this.
I won't go into the normal detail about dropping the books suffice to say we had our fair share of problems, losses, snotty people and other distributors, one of them on the same team as us and though we talked to him and our upline did he still went round all our streets so it was always a jiggle to see who could get there first. We managed 10% first couple of periods, we'd got back our initial payment but it had cost a bit to do with new books and bits and peices. We were assured this was all normal and others we spoke to agreed, already we could see a diffrence between the presentation and the reality but we carried on. We'd been asked almost straight away to come to a training meeting and meet the team and get somne training to help us with our business. But it became clear very soon that it was nothing to do with the books and everything to do with recruiting others. They showed other peoples income cheques and gave tips on how to recruit. Coming from the meetings it seemed so easy and almost a no brainer to do it and double our income. Liasing with our upline we organised newspaper adverts, some shop adverts locally and got some leaflets. There were cost implications but as we'd seen at the meetings and reading the various testimonials this was the way to get the big income cheques and to get on the international confrences , though we thought we'd aim
realisitically for the Autumn Conference, I had plenty of time and judging from what the uplines were saying it would be easy to get gold in the time available. We had only a few calls from our Paper advert, buying the paper I noticed there were several others in there too, I'd spent quite a while putting out leaflets in a nearby town and we got a few calls.
Though we sent out some DVD packs and phoned the people they weren't interested, we went to more meetings and a sunday seminar with a big name in kleeneze. All saying much the same thing really. We carried on regardless, still doing the books and once we got to 13 % on our retail alone but usually it was just over 10%. In time we did get to go round someones house and present to them, the circles and the catalogues, of course as we'd been told we didn't dwell on the negatives, but only upon the positives. After about four presentations we actually got someone to sign up and we thought we'd got it made. We explained the books and sorted them out, but after a week or so they hadn't done anything, we phoned and talked to them but they were evasive. We left them to it for a while whilst we concetrated on
other leads and after a few weeks signed up someone else. The first people after 4 weeks had done nothing, we phoned, we texted, nothing. Move on our upline said. We questioned them closely "Oh it's quite common for people not to put the books out" . No mention of this before or indeed the amount of calling and going round houses etc needed for just one sign up. Turns out the upline was seeing several people a week abnd signing one up every two weeks or so. Each meeting had new people introduced every time, they didn't like the fact we hadn't brought anyone along regardless of how hard we had tried.
All in all in 11 months we signed up 5 people after seeing and presenting to about 20 people some of them very far away, out of that 2 did 10% after a while but little after that 2 did a bit here and there for a few months and one never did anything. We supported them as best we could giving a new box of books for the people getting 10% and other things like bags etc They all dropped away now, the thought of endlessly going through all this month after month as well as doing the catalogues fills me with dread, we've seen very little if any return for all
the investment and at each down turn we learn a little more from uplines and others, it seems like we've been kept in the dark so we wouldn't point out any problmes. When the last of our team dropped out I was feeling really down and our upline said I shouldn't be so negative and should just carry on. But carry on to what? To do more of the same? I'm no better off now than when I started yes I've met some decent people on my round but many I came across in the sponsoring were to be honest never really up to the struggle of putting out the books hours at a time and sorting out all the little niggly problems you come across in this game, some of the people we went to see were awful and one was quite threatening.
With winter upon us now and the Xmas books as good as finished , they been out so long everyone has seen them, I can't face having to get all new Spring books and going out much more. It wouldn't be so bad if you could talk through any problems or doubts without feeling like you are raining on everyones parade. We've been to regular *sizzles* and had to sit with people who we'd never give the time of day to normally, it certainly seems to attract some weird people, even after a few of these you realise no one sticks with this for more than five mins and the uplines know this.
They think they are going to be rich one day but they'd be better off getting better jobs really, they never seem to have the money they are always on about. My husbands wages keeps our house yet some of the people have quite low paid work and think this will lead them to a better life when all it's doing is draining their families of money it seems.
Now the wetaher is clearing my upline is keen for me to press on with the catalogues , they reckon over Xmas people will be delighted to see them , they won't and I don't fancy knocking doors for them over the holiday. I just don't know what to do with it all. Having spent so much with really nothing to show for it, all I have done is met some people and got fit by walking all hours.
Sorry to have rambled on but it feels great to get it off my chest I wish I had read all this months ago. Suddenly I'm finding people that have gone through what I've been through and it isn't something about me. I've done my best and my husband has supported me but I feel I can't do this much longer.

Thats a very honest story jeanette and thankyou for sharing. I feel bad I just jumped in with my first comment and have since read alot of this thread (its huge! - not all of it!)
In return I would like to share my story if nobody minds, as honestly put as yours and please forgive the naiveness of my first post I'm genuinly not here to recruit - you will find posts on other bits of this forum regarding my debts/moneysaving
I started in February this year, I saw a presentation and was wowed by the circles and basically what appealed to me was being able to choose my own working hours etc as tbh I hated my job. I still do. as soon as I earn as much through my business as my job i'm out of there!!
I started with the same kit of 200 books, followed the system, did all the local round near me. There was another distributor who started up in the same area but gave up after a few weeks. I also decided to do a small area near where my parents used to live which wasnt far and I also cover a village next to me now. I will admit that when you first see it, it seems so easy. In reality it is more difficult, but I honestly feel like the group I am in give faboulous support and guidance. When I was pushing for 15% and one of my team was ill my upline actually came out blanket dropping with me so I could hit 15%, and I did. As for book losses, I dont know wether they had FastStart Bonuses when the above poster started, but I did and I got every single one (3 x 50 books FREE to cover any losses on your first few rounds). They now have a RapidStart Bonus which in your first 16 weeks you can get up to 500 free books, which my serious teambuilder has had most of! Books change every now and then, but I only work with about 200 books, the specialogues are only £5 for 50 so thats £20 every 3 months. The main books are more expensive to change, but I see this as a self financing business. I use the money I earnt with the old books to buy the new, its not like the new books come out of say my fulltime wages. Some other companies change their catalogues every 3 weeks, if this happened with the amount of books I work with it would be pointless!
I didnt come accross too many rude people, I had a few notes saying no thanks, a couple of essays saying they did not want unsolicited mail etc but I just crossed them off my list and carried on. From early on I hit 10% regularly, then 13%, then with team went on to hit 15% and 18% (where I am now). Ive only had a few really rude people. I just think those kind of people will be rude to anyone and I never took it personally.
It sounds like the above story's uplines are a little different to ours. If I want to moan about a bad day to my sponser, she lets me get it off my chest then helps me see the positive side. Which as a pretty positive person I usually did anyway. I know this business can seem like its full of positivly sickening optimistic people, but in all honestly I have always been a positive person, regardless of my occupation.
Yes I have had to buy flyers (£20 for 10000) and business cards (erm, roughly the same i think) and I do pay for an ad. The first month I put my ad on I had 120 leads from it, I am NOT kidding. I had so many my upline had to help me with appointments to get through them all. I still have that ad and I regularly get 30 leads a month from it, never mind my flyering, shop ads (which I only do as I am passing by anyway - takes no extra effort) 3 foot ruling (passing busniess cards to people you happen to come by such as cashiers, pizza delivery guys etc) oh and I also have a sticker on my car, cost me £12 from ebay. Had around 10 leads max off that to be honest. Ive been on 5 appointments today, I usually book more in a day but its fireworks night! Got a guy to make! This cost me around £7 in petrol - after reading this thread I have decided to keep more of an eye on my petrol costs! But I dont travel too far for appointments, and I genuinly really enjoy them.
From that, yes only 1 in 10 sign up, and from that, yes some will leave. Out of my current 8 people I have 1 serious team builder , 2 serious distributors, and the rest either do nothing or very little. one's in the middle say about £500 a month. I understand this is the nature of the game, to counteract this I just carry on recruiting and coaching my current team. I do honestly believe this is a good opportunity and know alot of people who this has worked for, wether it was £250 they want a month, or £5000. Or indeed £10, 000.
I genuinly enjoy providing a service to my regular customers and have some really lovely ones, I often get invited for tea/coffee/ always have a good chat and quite often I get asked to come and look where theyve put the Meerkats/Singing Robin etc and what I think. I loved meeting some of them and really care about them, as I care about my team.
I feel like this business has given me a chance to choose what I do, where and when I work, and compared to a job which I loathed for 4 years its such a breath of fresh air.
I do understand it doesnt work for everyone, I am inclined to say perhaps thats down to the individual. I sure have had some rubbish days aswell as the good ones. But im not afraid to say that! (try picking up 400 books in the peeing rain to only get £30 of orders!). But that was just a bad day and that same week I picked up £70 of orders from a street of 18 houses. you just really cant predict the results you get. I just carried on, and now I'm mainly customer based (ie- 3 out of the 4 weeks I just go back to my regular customers and the last week I spend blanketing a new area) it has gotten soooooo much better on the retail side of things. I LOVE the sponsoring side and I know it will pay off, it already has.Debt Free May 1st 2009Back to try and get debt free *again*

Two very good honest stories. The main point I think you have to take from this, is that the opportunity is exactly the same for everyone. Success or lack of it is mainly down to the motivation of that person. Most will have problems of some sort and it depends on how each person handles those problems.
