Frankly these kinds of adverts are a joke - *team leader*?? no you start at the bottom and have to recruit everyone yourself and if you are very lucky 1 out of 10 will stay for more than a few months.
Whats worse are their little flyers which they used to use in the catalogue packs with a list of the various *job titles* Distributor, Team leader, Area leader and supposed incomes next to them and the idea was you send it back having ticked the one you are interested in.
Utter tosh of the very worst kind.
Tbh, I was only referring to the page that was advertised in the link here on this forum. I didn't bother clicking through on the link on the ad as I thought it would go straight to a Kleeneze website. So, I clicked through and you're absolutely right, its advertised like a job which is wrong. The actual ad on the first page is fine though.

Just to answer your other points, nothing wrong with asking a person what it is they want from the business, in fact its entirely correct to do that. First thing I ever ask an enquirer is ''what do you want from the business?''. In Kleeneze (or any other Direct Sales business for that matter), you need to know if that person wants to build a team and become a ''Team Leader'', or if they're just interested in selling products on their own ''a Distributor''.

Done Kleneze twice. First time I had no car but lived in an area where orders would vary. Rich areas would almost shove you off the property where as the poor folks who didn't have money didn't mind spending it.
The downside was the courier. If they missed you (and starting out thats pretty certain as you'll almost certainly be at work) they won't redeliver unless you're guaranteed to be in. To make this worse, they don't do weekends and they don't give delivery times either so if you're doing an office job or a call centre job you're screwed. Just to be extra helpful they tend to have their depots in the middle of no where so those without a car or decent public transport are pretty stuffed. I paid £20 to pick up one parcel by cab and literally saw £1 profit for my efforts by the time I'd delivered everything and got the money from customers. £1.. thats not a good return is it. Add to that I'd lost over 15 books from my 100 (which cost me at the time £100) and I'd actually made a loss of £14 on top of my £20 cab ride. In essence this only works if you have a car and a large area of skint folks who have nothing better to do than spend their last few quid on something because they can't afford much else in life.
The second time I tried it I had a car. The only snag this time was the area. Snobbish people and one other local Kleneze distributor who the few customers in the area would not be swayed from. I tried all over the place, I tried doing weekly drops and they simply wouldn't be swayed saying "I won't switch from ****** so you can stop putting them through. My upllne wasn't at all helpful and all the company would say was try another area. Not helpful when you're struggling for fuel. When I did finally get enough orders to put through I was paying £7 for online access and then one order went missing and they tried for an entire month to threaten us for payment. We eventually asked them to produce the signed receipt for delivery and they couldn't. At that point I asked them to stop the harrassment or they'd be in court. A further 2 months down the line the bloody box turned up from CITYLINK, battered, bruised, every corner torn etc. The box didn't represent a box at all but more like stiff paper. No idea how the hell citylink lost that but they've obviously got some dark hole where they shove things that they can't deliver and don't bother returning to the sender. I rang Kleneze and threatened to sue them unless it was recollected that evening. Needless to say they and Citylink both tried to blame each other for the condition of the delivery and the amount of time it took and both tried to claim they couldn't recollect it that night. Much shouting later and the citylink van turned up to take it back. Not impressed with Kleneze that time so told them to shove the agreement (which they'd suspended until being paid due to this missing parcel). Add that to the fact that in a previous parcel some of the stuff had turned up broken (which you can't send back easily) and the struggle to get orders just didn't seem worth it.
The first time they were distributor friendly. The second time they didn't give a damn.
I've also known people who've done both betterware and Kleneze and they've all said that betterware are better to work for despite the lack of business opportunity.0 -

It wasn't like that at all , it had the descriptions and the supposed earning with little tick boxes. As if someone could just start and do the *team leader* thing and make this that or the other amount of money - well they can't regardless of flim flam put out by Kleeneze bronzes at meetings where they always have anecdotal stories of this person (never there and always the most bizarre - one legged bloke on an island etc etc) . They always peddle this garbage - everyone starts off tramping the streets with catalogues and if they get very very very lucky they *might* get a few signed up who do it for more than a few weeks.
Then again they may do it for a year and follow every word of the Bronzes and golds , go to every meeting , listen to every podcast and inspirational telephone message and STILL and up well out of pocket.
Of course there are few here in the first throes of it when at first it all seems to go well - they won't come back here when they give it up after rebuilding their *team* for the fourth time and getting nowhere fast. If they do they'll have to admit that all their flam about people being **Idle** because they watch TV or the Kleeneze works and people don't . They could of course rightly say they joined at the wrong time as it's always now being the best time to join - any time before must have been the worst time.0 -
