I hope it does go, then they can leave me alone. I currently have a avon catalogue the rep didnt come when she said she would and when she did she rang on door bell and didnt wait long enough to wait for a answer. She hasnt been back since that was 2 weeks back so now its going to bin
I do Avon now and I assure you, I go back for my books when I say I will. Unfortunately, not every rep will collect their books etc., which gives those of us who are trying very hard a bad name. There is a thread about Avon if you want to pop in there and have a chat to the Avon reps.
As for the matter in hand, Kleeneze. It put a horrendous strain on our marriage.0 -
Hi oldgreyfox, yes they do but I also haven't seen any from Gavin Scott and Rob Forster either so as Peter Pan says with the recession their cheques must be down.
Looking at the monthly figures there are still people who are building big teams and moving forward just not the top guy's, which is good in my opinion, let those lower down who are prepared to work hard earn the money.
Have noticed that it seems they are trying a different tact, i saw one of Gavin Scott with a cheque showing how much he has earnt from 2002 - 2008 whether thats an old picture i don't know cos can't see why its only to 2008.We love what we are doing and we love why we're doing it!!0 -

Speaking to a Kleeneze agent on Friday & he said he had received an anonomous text claiming to be from a Kleeneze INSIDER @ HQ saying that the company will be gone in January & for everyone to get out now!!!
Heard this before I have to say so this is TBC
Common knowledge that Andrew Cohen was going to buy Kleeneze a few years ago to eliminate the competition :rotfl: Now Andrew's back at the helm @ Betterware he might not need to :T
Lots of rumours about Findel & is there anyone like to add anything that they might of heard
Might want to get in Betterware while their still offering a guaranteed wage
Regards
Jon
Hi John, to my knowledge the article in the Sunday Times is still pure speculation as far as I am aware nothing has been officially announced by Findel although they may well do we shall see.
As far as it shutting down well IF Findel went into administration then seeing as Kleeneze is one of the few companies it own's that actually make a profit I am sure someone would buy them and keep them going. There has been speculation N Brown was interested at one stage, but again who knows.
Why would Betterware buy Kleeneze just to shut them down what would be the point, if they did so most distributors would then not want to move over to them seeing as they stuffed us by shutting us down and I find customer's tend to buy from one catalogue or the other rarely both.
As for Lady Python's comments about them selling cheap tat, well seeing as just about everything seems to be manufactured in the Far East nowadays I am sure Betterware and just about every other catalogue company sells the same stuff, when I have looked at one of their catalogues a lot of it looks to be from the same manufacturer as ours.
Even so called British companies like Burberry shut down their UK manufacturing plant to open one up in the Far East as their costs were a heck of a lot lower and therefore profits were higher.
Anyway a lot of the cleaning products we sell now are their own brand for exactly the reason that they are for sale in the high street I presume.
I agree some of it is crap and if any of my customers ask me about something I know is crap I tell them as I don't want to have to refund them a few weeks later, Pete.0 -

Yes I have seen that it was shown at one of the conference's around 12 month's ago I think. I thought it was from when he started in kleeneze or when he got to Bronze perhaps so a lot earlier than 2002 but I can't remember as it's been a while.0 -
Just an addition, at the moment for 1 week only it's half price to sign up and join kleeneze, from what I can gather reading all the twitter messages all the top guy's are going mad and signing in lots of people and putting them in their down-line, as they can only sign one up front-line to themselves, (which is good).
But what I personally don't like about it is in around a month those new distributors will find the new Spring / Summer books are out and they will be faced with the cost of replacing the books they have just bought.
Now admittedly 90%+ of the products in the present cat's will be in the new cat's and they are perfectly able to still use them but I don't like that myself, I suspect it's the company's way of getting rid of their old books.0 -
Oh God spare me more Kleeneeze reps on the beat it's bad enough one every now and then unable to comprehend what 'no catalogues' sign means on the door, perhaps some reps ought to have a lesson on how to read or get glasses
Still Poundland is much cheaper for some tat than Kleeneeze products, so rather than spend £5-£6 you get it for £1 so that's less for the middle men to share in profitsJust an addition, at the moment for 1 week only it's half price to sign up and join kleeneze, from what I can gather reading all the twitter messages all the top guy's are going mad and signing in lots of people and putting them in their down-line, as they can only sign one up front-line to themselves, (which is good).0 -

In this thread http://www.squidoo.com/kleeneze
some new posts since it was mentioned last an ex kleeneze distributor recently says
"I'd like to comment on the goods Kleeneze sell - whilst perhpas ten years ago they were the only source of some of these things now with the advent of Supermarkets like Asda and Morrisons along with Pound & bargin shops these items are readily available to everyone on the highstreet. often they are a fraction of the cost - line props cost £10 in the catalogue but can be bought for jsut £2.99 in a bargin shop or Homebargins - the very same one. Often I'd buy one from there and deliver it as Kleeneze - removing the label with turps (which got the sticky off) - the £7.01 I'd make in profit was far more than I'd get from Kleeneze." :eek:0 -
" The company, which is entering the peak pre-Christmas trading period, also said it was too early to be definitive about the performance of its home shopping unit through this key period "

Yes as has been mentioned numerous times SOME items you can get in the cheap shops but obviously that means apart from the expense of having to go into town 2 or 3 times a week to possibly get those products, that's if you live near one of these shops anyway not everyone has one near them, the nearest town to me with one is about 20 minutes away by car and with those sort of shops there are no guarantees it will be the same item, on the odd occasion I buy these I prefer them to look similar to the ones in the catalogue.
Plus you do not get any bonus points on them so therefore you may lose out on the next level of your bonus because you have pocketed a couple of extra quid and if the item is breaks or the customer changes her mind and wants to send it back you lose out.
I have bought items there and off ebay in the past but only when they were no longer available from Kleeneze or they were out of stock for over a month.
As has been mentioned numerous times no one is forced to buy off Kleeneze or Betterware they are perfectly able to go to town and buy from these shops if they want to, what customers like is the items are delivered direct to their doors so they don't have to go hunting around numerous shops to try and find things.
This thread is turning into an anti Kleeneze thread again Betterware sell almost exactly the same stuff as us.0
