No, was waiting to see if I got accepted first.
I think it's probably down to the fact that I'm moving house in a few weeks, and have applied for a bigger mortgage.Debt free since December 2015. It can be done0 -

This and the fact the Post Office now promotes the "limited offer" of fee-free balance transfers, has cast suspicion that handling charges are about to be introduced in line with most competitors.
That said, there's no suggestion that a balance transfer request affects an applicant's chances adversely. In an extremely competitive market, 0% introductory rates are, after all, the way most credit card companies lure new customers.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -

I'd also applied for a balance transfer and noticed that it had gone through 2 days ago. The pin for the card was also received today in a different letter, but I am yet to receive the card (no rush as i don't intend using it).
That's a pretty efficient service !
PS. I went through TopCashback as they are currently the highest payers (£15.60) for the PO Card and it tracked almost immediately.
To add to my post yesterday - Card arrived today Sat 16th along with internet ID / Pin etc but in seperate envelopes. The card itself was in a hardback handwritten envelope within another envelope so you would never have guessed it actually contained the card. Obviously a security measure to disguise the fact a credit card is contained within, so well done to the PO / Bank of Ireland.0 -

Yes I was impressed with the hand written envelope. Someone must be writing a hell of a lot of letters a day0 -

Thanks for your feedback. Last week, someone posted criticism of the Post Office card's security, but I was as impressed as you.
Another poster criticised the monthly statements, but I find them clear and uncluttered. I prefer not to be sent reams of paper. It's so wasteful.
I signed up in July and I'm still a fan. Unlike many of the PO's competitors, the fee-free balance transfers can be made for the entire 6 month promotional period, so every time you make a monthly payment, you can request another BT. This doesn't cost you a penny. On top of that, you get 0% on retail purchases for 6 months as well.
The Post Office accepts balance transfers from all other UK credit cards and all lenders accept transfers from the PO.
Whereas most competitors insist on a margin of up to 10% in case of late payment, over limit fees etc, the Post Office allows customers to borrow right up to their credit limit.
For a straightforward, no-tricks deal, it's hard to beat IMO.
Cheers

I don't know the answer to your question, but my paper statements arrive almost three weeks before the payment due date.
For peace of mind, I would phone Customer Services and ask. You can of course settle the bill at any post office.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -
I'm not finding it easy to pay off the post office by blanace transfer to another card.
My PO deal is almost at an end, and I've tried to transfer the balance to AMEX and to BOS, and both refuse to deal with the Post Office (Bank of Ireland) at least for balance transfers.
I'm now stuck with a large balance on my PO card, and am unable to transfer it anywhere.
Be careful. When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bike.
Then I realised, God doesn't work that way, so I stole one and asked him to forgive me.0 -
I have no experience of Amex, but others have reported difficulties with balance transfers here recently. The company appears to be scaling down this side of its business.
I do have the Post Office card. I also hold a Bank of Scotland charity card, which accepts balance transfers from the PO, so you should be okay.
I would phone customer services, once again (you can avoid the wretched 0845 number, using 01315 498041) and let us know how you get on.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -

Yep, I applied last week, for the 6 months 0% offer (no balance transfer fee) and was accepted immediately online within 5 minutes. Have now received my card today and the balance transfer I requested went to the relevant card within 6 days. Not bad, very impressed! :T~What you send out comes back to thee thricefold!~~0
