I applied online and got the 5 day message too but everything came through quickly and I had the card etc within ten days of applying. Its all been a waste of time though as they will not let me do a BT to Amex, which was the whole point of applying. Will hold on to it though in case I have to use another card for BT and re-route onto PO card.

Well, a letter arrived this morning saying they had nearly decided and I had to send proof of ID and proof of address and they would contact me with a decision. Has anyone got this far and been rejected or should I be fairly hopeful?

I had to send all the information off as above and then 2 days later I got the rejection letter. What a waste of time and how expensive for them to deal with all the admin for those documents.

Applied for an RBS 0% for 9 months and was immediately approved.

Does anyone know which banks provide the Post Office Card?

The PO card is issued by the Bank of Ireland.

Are you on the electoral roll?

Being on the electoral register obviates the need to produce ID documents every time you apply for a credit card.

No sign of anything at all in quidco - just as if I never applied......

I had the same with rpoints so its obviously something wrong at the Post Office's end. Took about 10 weeks to eventually get the points in the end, so make sure you put in a claim with quidco - they should contact PO and get it all sorted

can anyone tell me how long after the "online" statement has been prepared you get the paper statement via snailmail?

i signed a DD on application but that isnt with my current account as yet. my 1st online statement is about 4 days old and i have heard nothing else. the online one doesnt actually say when the payment is due by.

i dont want to miss a payment obviously.

    thank you.

I applied for my card online last friday 08 Sept and today received written confirmation of approval for a platinum card with a £12k limit. I'd also applied for a balance transfer and noticed that it had gone through 2 days ago. The pin for the card was also received today in a different letter, but I am yet to receive the card (no rush as i don't intend using it).
    That's a pretty efficient service !

PS. I went through TopCashback as they are currently the highest payers (£15.60) for the PO Card and it tracked almost immediately.
