Not had a bad couple of nights. Colds are starting to go now. I take madam in the bath with me in the evening. She has her cuddle with daddy after and has her bottle, then I lay her in her cot. For the past 2 nights she has layed and played for a few minutes then settled down and gone to sleep. She wakes again at about 2am ish so this morning I kept her in her cot and gave her a bottle and checked her bum.
I layed back down for a while but she got upset again when her bottle finished so I'm now back downstairs.
I'm getting there though thank goodness.

Keep on there! And well done to you both.My lil one woke up three times, but I wasnt convinced during the day that he drank enough.Saying that-he didnt drink enough during the night either.Anyway-not complaining. They'll all get there in the end:rotfl:

    Hi guys
Was just wondering how your little ones where doing and just to let everyone know how my lil man was sleeping. He was doing well but then came the hot weather, throw in some noisy neighbours playing music til some crazy time in the morning and roll back to being woken up 3-4 times during the night. Then one day I was wondering why he was alittle grumpy and when changing his nappy had a good look in his mouth and found tooth number 3 on the verge of coming out. So with that I thought it best just to leave him to do what he needed to do and try and roll with the getting woken up bit as I knew he must be miserable/in pain/needing comfort. Now I've found tooth number 4 ready to drop so to be honest so major progress here.On another notethere has been less breastfeeding over the last 2 days. Today I counted 3 and hes been having some cows milk. Not much-but before he wouldnt even entertain it! I've got a feeling the next few weeks will be very interesting......

My DD is still sleeping a large block despite teething and the heat. She is showing signs of being able to settle herself now too which is great, and I'm helping her with that obviously. She will now go to sleep for me without being fed, which is a great step forward (all done by her, I've done nothing).

  • UPDATE:
    Good morning to you all.
Its been ages since I posted on this thread, but am interested in how everyones lil ones are doind and thought I would share the good news. Things have been alittle up and down with my son and his sleeping at night, but managed to get him down to waking up once in the night-and he would have a little bit of water most of the time then nod of.Also hes completely weaned off the breast now-which I think made abit of a difference. For the last 5 nights hes slept all the way thru the night WITHOUT waking up!Couldnt believe it.I guess he just did it in his own good time.So now I've got my boobs and sanity back...........xxxx

Wow that's great! My DD has regressed badly because we have molars coming thorugh and she had her MMR the other week, plus she is learning to walk and is also starting to talk (she's 14 months now) so she wakes a lot and comes in with us when we can't take it any more!! Ah well, it will pass, my job as parent is a 24-hour one IMO.

Skinty - sounds like you are doing well :D I haven't even attempted to put Edgar in his cot for at least 2 months, don't know why I bothered buying the thing - he hates it! He does sleeps very well in our bed though, thankfully!
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

I'm doing what keeps us sane lol! I can;t keep settling her every 20 mins when I know I can bring her in, latch her on and get some sleep. She'll learn to sleep one day I'm sure. Is yours a cot bed? Perhaps you'll get the use of it as a bed?! I do always put her down in it at 7.30 and sometimes she even stays in it till 4 or 5am. :D
