    lol clueless.

It involved helping out mentally challenged kids actually. Teaching basic English to kids in Poland and other 'stuff'. All voluntary out of my pocket with flight, food, housing costs.

    Good times.

Did none of those "mentally challenged kids" need help with their personal care/toileting?
If any of them did need such help in order to 'wipe their own bums' would you then consider their lives worthless and that they'd be better off dead??

I applaude you for doing this voluntary work but struggle to understand the thinking that it is OK for others to need assistance but you would rather be dead?

No, you don't have to prove anything, but hey me old china - neither do I

I find it very hard to believe that anybody who did that type of voluntary work would be so spineless and narrow minded as to levy such venomous and unwarranted criticisim of other 'colleagues' in a similar kind of work - actually to the point of publicy insulting them and making what they do as being worthless. That doesn't wash with me, and others will read your posts and draw their own conclusions.

No smoke and mirrors - no pack drill

    1. Yes they did but I didn't get involve in that department thank heavens.

    2. That is just my personal choosing should I reach that stage in later life, not that everyone else should be.

    Fair game

I have the list of details on my CV with contact details regarding my past voluntary work so only employers need proving.

I see!, so it was okay as long as it was not YOU doing it. So in other words, you were volunteering on your own terms and certainly not making any real sacrifices or putting yourself out.

Thats like fighting a war......from 30 miles behind enemy lines.

(self) Praise and Honours for the non participants and you are happy to volunteer your services as long as its for something nice where you will get some credit but won't actually get your hands dirty.

What were you?, chief coat holder?, and the accommodation you paid for out of your own pocket - 4 or 5 star hotel was it?

So am I missing something? Why does JSA exist again?!?

Wait until you are the wrong side of 50 and then you will realise how crass your comments are!

I suspect the job that you have 'easily' obtained does not involve any written work where spelling and grammar are essential requirements

    Why should I?

I volunteered to help mentally. Do a survey on how many 19 year olds (when i volunteered) would do such work on a voluntary basis living by yourself in a different country.

    Not many

No doubt most young ppl are too busy getting girls up the duff and drinking themselves into oblivion.

What about the 19 year olds who work in care homes, wiping backsides?. They aren't 'up the duff' and working 12 hour shifts at night makes it real hard to drink yourself into oblivion.

Would you like to borrow 10p?, we'll all have a whip 'round so you can go into town and buy yourself the clue that you think I lack!.

Sounds like they failed GCSE then.;)

My brother does this job for a living by the way so I know what goes on in those places.

He failed school. Lucky for me and my sister we did very well.

Does your Brother know what a low opinion you have of care workers. I bet your a real credit to him.

In Education perhaps, although thats only half the 'life story' believe me and the Jury is still out on how successful you'll be at being a human being. Given how many people you've endeared to you on this thread, with your downright insulting comments towards those who care for the elderly and their own disabled children, or who work for low pay I wouldn't bank on winning an OBE or replacing Jimmy Saville anytime soon.
