despite earlier email to request cancellation tehy still proceed with despatching n taking money out of my account. try calling them but it go straight to voicemail. is this even legal?
I had exactly the same happen, they sent me an email saying the majority of my order was out of stock, so I emailed them back asking them to cancel it as the only stuff left on the order were just wee extras. not heard anything until an email this afternoon saying they have been dispatched.

Not sure there is much we can do, I'm disappointed that I didn't get all the things I ordered (really wanted the fold up cooker for my wee girl:( ) but I think it's just one of those things. More than 1 poster thought stuff might go out of order, especially with being inundated with us MSE bargain hunter's .
    It's a shame & bad organisation of stock control & email management but I don't think it's a scam.

how can it not b a scam if i cancel the items but tehy still insist in sending me the items?

i order about 30 items but only binliner n small items left! so out of £11 pound i paid £4.50 goes to postage

i cancel the items by sending them a email saying i want to please cancel the item n get back to me asap. but tehy still proceed with the despatch

i can accept no stock, but i cannot accept they refuse to cancel the order, to me thats a scam to try to flog off whats left of their company

i only ordered a baby romper for my dd had confirmation and payment taken but nothing since and that was a few days ago now, i notice on the site that it has gone up in price too i'm hoping they've not cancelled it as perhaps it was too cheap for them to sell at that price hmmm

What do i do if it never shows up as they are going out of business i bet not much we can do?:(

I've called a few times no one answers, you just have to leave a message.

I'm really mad:mad: my money has gone and no sign of the goods, no communication don't know what to do now.

if you ring the oft, they will just tell you to ring these people instead... http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/

because the oft (according to their website ...
    cannot:
    • act on behalf of individuals
    • help or intervene in individual disputes
    • advise if a business is being investigated
    • tell you if a trader is good or bad
    • tell you which trader you should use
    • help you to get your money back
    • comment on whether a specific contract or situation is unfair

the comments from various people here are getting everyone worried when we should all just wait a little longer

I ordered last Saturday and I've only had a confirmation email nothing else. I have emailed them to see what is what but I'm not holding my breath. I only ordered 2 things and neither are on the site. We shall wait and see what happens.

I do think people have the right to be worried when they have had money taken, for example most companies take payment on dispatch or at least when processing for dispatch. My payment was taken 11th i'd have at least expected a dispatch email by now.
Even if they forgot to send emails a 2nd class small packet would have been here by now.
