    This is not my question.

Please dont think I dont know what is morally right. I do. So dont preach.

    So in theory....

Could the OPs husband and his friends be accused of stealing?

If someone had not paid me £115 in a business transaction I would find every way possible to track them down to get my money back. However, since that person had left their name number and address I would assume they wouldnt mind me contacting them if I had a problem with said transaction and vice versa.

    I still think it's a wind up.

If anyone takes an item from a shop without paying, it's stealing. You wouldn't take a frozen pizza from Tesco and think you were entitled to refuse to pay for it!

And how on earth did they manage to leave the premises without paying?

Nope - doesn't ring true to me. And thank you, I will feel free to comment on anything that's posted on an open forum.

Feel free to post in an open forum - but please answer my question, dont try to be on the moral high ground when I have expressed from the start my feelings of what is morally right.

My question was are they allowed to acquire addresses as we never gave them an address.

As for how did they get out of the shop. Well they handed them all 10 pizzas and said have a good night. There was no raid behind the counter.

And yeah its a wind up.

Did you give them a telephone number? Are you ex directory? Have you ever had a delivery from them? Could they have cross referenced the number with your address?

could have been worse, they could have passed on your details to the Police and you would have had a visit rather than a phone call.

I dont really think the police would be interested. Dominoes were at fault. Do police go round chasing £100 rent? Errrr.........no.

The police arent debt collecters. Nothing was stolen. An oversight on both parts yes.

I'm not trying to be on anything - just stating a fact.

And my question is so how do you know they acquired your address if they've been ringing the phoneline?

And I'm assuming that the person behind the counter has been sacked for not obtaining payment? Uh huh.

    Yeah - I thought so.

No we have never ordered from them before so this is what I am wondering if they are able to trace addresses from numbers. I didnt think just everyone had this right.

I was asking if it was right for them to find addresses out etc and call a number to ask for money. The number could have been a communal number etc.

Well, if Domino's had got an answer perhaps they would have politely said 'could we speak to the person who ordered lots of pizzas last week please, this is a customer care call' ... 'it was you sir/madam, we hope you enjoyed your pizzas, excuse us mentioning it but we can't match a payment to your order, did you pay cash or card?' etc.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.
