Hi all
Well I had my Orange Wednesday last night but it didn't quite work out. I took my friend's two kids with me, and she didn't give me enough cash so I still ended up out of pocket!
Thank goodness I had taken my own snacks and drinks with me!This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
That's a shame.
I think that may be one of the reasons we reasons we are all in debt. We are too generous or "were" too generous. Tight people seem to always have loads of money
*Sorry if I have oftened anyone in this post, it was purely meant in jest

Hi Ashamed
I think you are very right. I didn't have the heart to say that it was going to cost much more. And to be honest, I don't think I ever would in that situation.
I just try to avoid those sorts of things nowadays! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

My pledge is to make a Christmas list now..we have loads of children, stepchildren and grandkids in our family so need a list of who we're buying for (under 18's only) and how much we're gonna spend (as little as possible!)
Now that the weather is getting better, I'm off to all the church fetes, craft fairs and boot sales to get some bargains. Mmm, now who could do with a messenger bag?

Makes me feel better though, justifying it and all that...:rotfl:
Let's remind myself then...
- take lunch to work (all but 2 days a month)
- make PADs to my cc with the cash I've saved from ^
- not visit the beautician!
- not buy any crisps, snacks or drinks at work
- read the books I've got and visit the library if I haven't got it
- update my spending diary religiously
Uh man, I bought a packet of crisps in work too!
Right, back on the pledges bus!0
