Just a quick post to say thanks again for everyones input :) I have had some great pm's, seems it's a small world and that I am not alone with some of my feelings/problems.

I've had my chat with my parents and all I can say there is I'm so lucky to have them. I know whatever I decide to do they will support me & they have said that there is always a bed at the family home for me which means a lot.

I'm feeling so much better, so off to take the dog on a long walk then make the journey back to my flat and prepare for work tomorrow even though I'm signed off until next week. I've got my st johns wort on stand-by but for now have not taken anything. I'm going to see a 'life coach' to keep my mum happy (actually it sounds like it could do me good but I can't tell her that :D)

I am not staying in a job I am not happy in, living somewhere I don't like or letting some stupid drugs/man stop me from being happy in life, or atleast trying to be. I don't yet know what that means the future holds for me but hey, who does?!?

    Simon

Just to add I am looking at all the suggestions about travelling, even if I just took a few months unpaid leave I think it would be an invaluable experience. I have some inheritance coming my way so money isn't such an issue.

Go travelling you are only young once. I am 25 and didn't manage to get to do it as I have a baby now. You are not happy with what you are doing obviously. I got myself to the point you did in life (job, house etc) but due to an 'incident' and was relieved from my job :rotfl:broke up with bf, had to move back in with rents at 23. Then got good job again, new bf, new house and baby.

I think I read you wanted to do volunteer work? The other people there will be in the same boat as you and you will make friends quickly.

Then once you have done some reflecting and thinking about what you want from life, you will be lucky to be able to stay with your parents and make that happen
