Funniest moment of the day last Thursday was the woman who remonstrated with the Presiding Officer for ten minutes regarding the secrecy of her vote, then forgot to actually vote and put both her ballot papers into the box without having made a mark on either of them!"If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

What annoys me about elections is the line of various party "faithfuls" sitting by the entrance who ask with an air of authority (which they don't actually have) to see your polling card. I either walk straight past them or say "no". It is no business of theirs who I am and if I have chosen to use my right to vote.
And they can't claim to be checking that those who promised to vote for their particular party have turned up to vote as I never "promise" my vote to any political party. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
