Because there is a massive conspiracy which can only be carried out through the use of a pencil.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

It is quite permissable to take your own quill pen, bottle of ink and sand for blotting!
and i now have a mental picture of local L***** party activists hijacking cars with the ballot boxes in and frantically erasing out all crosses against other candidates and adding their own crosses in thick black pencil!!!0 -

There are much easier ways of rigging the election that erasing people's voting forms.
In any case, just make the mark heavy so that any erasing is obvious.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

As soon as polling stations close, ballot boxes are sealed and taken to returning officer where they are opened and votes counted. There would be virtually no time for an individual to unfold a ballot paper and erase X and replace it.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
