election. very urgent answer required

put my cross on ballot paper today but was only able to use pencil . is this legal as it can easily be erased and replaced. urgent answers required as i can go and kick up a fuss if this is wrong

Pencil is quite normal, I was reading about it on BBC news.
They said that you can either use the pencil or a pen nowdays.
I don't think anyone will erase it, thousands are voting, and they have to count them very quickly!9/70lbs to lose0 -

no legal document should ever be signed in pencil , so why should a ballot paper ?
and no documents sent to gov departments would be accepted in pencil. black ink is requiredwe all have bad days , some more than others ..................0 -
