Can I be part of the Hunt £100 challenge please?
I have suddenly realised that the two boxes leaning in a corner in the spare bedroom that I keep moving about are in fact two vertical blinds I bought from Ikea last year and never even opened. I'm going to make a trip to Ikea on Saturday to see if they will take them back - it's probably a good year I've had them and I have no receipt but they still sell them, so fingers crossed.
I just received my shopping from Tescos and am really pleased. I am a terrible spontaneous shopper so hopefully keeping away from the supermarkets will save me loads this month. I'm going to add up how much I spent last month, and then do the same at the end of June to see how much of a difference it makes.
I'd love to feel in full control of my money - not that I'm actually in debt, but I spend it on stupid things that I somehow convince myself I need and then never use. I keep looking at my mortgage and it is really motivating me - I will get rid of it!! Positive thinking !!:jI shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.0 -

Joey we got our shopping today too. I was at work but it feels good to come home and see shelves and fridge with stuff in that I actually have a plan for. yay. should have been 97 incl delivery but with the £10 first buy voucher and the discounts/ deals it came to £74 including delivery. woohoo. also quidco emailed to say £5 cashback for new tesco customer had tracked.
Toots I looked through all your weekend photos on facebook - loved them. I didn't expect to learn so much about Nottingham today.

Paula - something i've started doing, and it only makes the teeniest difference as there's just 2 of us, is having smaller portions of everything we eat. So whereas OH might've had 4 sausages, now he has 3 etc - you get the point lol. It must gradually work overtime but not in any major way. We're both ok with it at the mo as we're going on hols soon so can do with the smaller portions. It might work better with a larger family? Just a thought.Just £10,852.28p to go...

Yay, well done Jo, sounds like you got a good deal there! And having a meal plan really works, takes away the whole what are we having tonight issue too. I dropped out of doing it, but it was good while I did. Might have to get back to that. Not sure what you've learned about Nottingham from my photos lol, but glad you enjoyed them! I'm having a small hissy fit over the colour of my hair, I'm sure it wasn't that grey when I looked in the mirror! :eek:EMminently wrote: »haha i've got to keep up Hales' good work in her absence

Toots - I've never been so not seen the architecture before, didn't know about the building into the hillside and caves or what the shopping centre looked like or the castle wall etc

I'm not sure where Hales is - i don't recall her saying she was going away or anything (not that she'd have to tell us of course
)
I learned lots from your pics too - like there's the oldest inn in England - and the biggest Boots! It looks like you had lots of fun and saw all the sightsJust £10,852.28p to go...
