Sarsie - basically we are a bunch of nutters who want to be rich! we all do different things to make a wee bit extra, from making jewellery, cakes, mystery shopping, designing websites, cleaning, scrapbooking, ebay, anything that brings in the pennies (within reaoon of course!) and this is where we motivate and support one another through thick and thin no matter if its in our private lives or in our business ventures.

Hi Sarsie-the dribbling bit is just us waffling-this was someone elses challenge to start with but it sort of seperated into two threads because all of us got accused of too much dribbling and not enough moneymaking. The other thread seems to have disappeared tho...... ;-)

Thanks for good wishes everyone, will be ok I am sure.

I am doing the £100 because I would love to treat my manager/best friend for being there for me when I had an operation nearly 2 years ago, supporting me through my first years teaching, and now her husband has cancer and he has to start radiotherapy in 2 weeks - I am going to get her a voucher for a de-stress massage at the local beauty salon - the rest will be for a haircut for me..... not at the beauty salon though :rotfl::rotfl: the hairdressers!

Hi everyone. good and busy day at work today.
Nixi I had/have the same misgivings about the secret (what I read about and the bits I saw.
I haven't read the link yet or indeed watched the secret. I have read quite a lot on Mike Dooleys TUT adventurers site though. he was part of the inspiration behind the secret and featured in it too I think. He believes that when people believe they can't do things then they are unlikely to do them. also that when you truly believe you can do things then you are more likely to find a way to make them happen and as such you notice and take advantage of all the opportunities and chances that come your way. however he doesn't say just sit and do nothing. he says dream it and believe in it. put it somewhere you notice it often but then let it go and start doing what you can. ie keep busy moving forward in anyway you can. he also says don't get caught up in the hows which is where the lottery ticket thing comes in. most people don't want the lottery thing but want what it enables them to do eg not worry about debt, have a bigger house, spend more time with family, quit a horrible job.
concentrating on winning the lottery is getting caught up in the how of achieving what you wish for whereas if you concentrate on the actual dream/desire and start doing what you can towards it believing it is possible then you will find ways and means that you might never even have considered if you were just sat waiting to win the lottery.
So I think its more opening yourself up to the possibility that you can achieve it so that you become open to aware of and willing to take advantage of the opportunities that are there.
If you limit yourself and your beliefs you are unlikely to see or take advantage of some of the opportunities that might bring your wishes about.
I think in its less famous incarnations Law of attraction very much involves getting on and doing and not sitting and waiting.
