Wow its lovely to see so much dribbling on here today. struggling to catch up but having my dinner and considering if hunt down 100 is something for me this week or not.
nice to see everyone. saved my £1 by making home made oven chips/wedges tonight rather than buying shop packet ones.

Jo, I like that synopsis! I also think that it extends to other ways in our lives. For instance, we can seek and ask for assistance, guidance, help etc but all the info, time, effort, things, advice and support even begging, complaining etc will achieve very little unless we take the first step to help ourselves. I think I have been doing a lot of thinking again this afternoon! I look at where I was nearly 4 months ago and where I am now. I would not be here where I am if it were not for all the advice, support, help and even all the rants and kicks up the backside, but none if would have mattered if I did not take the necessary steps myself as well. I am grateful for so many things now and of course all of you, still climbing back up the hill but life looks really grand now again.

Just sat here and watched Sense and Sensibility. Owned it for ages and finally decided to sit down and watch it, loved it and now I think I want my happlily ever after as well lol Still not done any stitching but am well chilled out and relaxed!!

We've got 2 lovely French girls staying with us at the moment, they arrived with French biscuits, crepes, some caramel honey type thing and some pastries. We want to send them home with a gift too - has anyone got any ideas? I was thinking maybe English honey and tea but that's not very exciting and i doubt they'd like the tea... any thoughts?

What about Eccles cakes, Chelsea buns, Banbury cakes, Cheddar cheese, Stiliton cheese, English honey, Earl Grey tea, Flapjack and of course Scones? Hope that helps TH X

    Part of the Furniture
    Evening, chaps and chapesses.

Well have had a dinner of stir fry with leftovers and stuff that needed using up. Going to have a bath and a glass of wine in a bit. May do another scrapbook page or may chill out with a book.

I have done what I intended today - am up to 20 pages in the album, have paid my staff (ouch, that always hurts!) and have put more chard in. Couldn't find any more spinach seeds, so have put in some quick growing broccoli and have put some purple sprouting broccoli in another bed. Some of my romaine lettuce and pak choi is nearly ready to eat, so I can start having nice fresh veggies from the garden soon. :)

Not going to do the £100 thing - I'm on half term and we are going to the RSC to see Romeo and Juliet on Thursday and then heading to Wales to see friends we haven't seen for ages. DD has a friend over tomorrow and she's staying over, so that's the week pretty much taken care of right there!
