2 cats, I used to have a lot of her books, brill author indeed. not read anything in years tho *makes a metal note* I think it is wonderful when an author takes an active role with their fans, I mean at the end of the day, is it not the fans who keep the author in work? so to speak that is of course! I may just have to find that site now. thank you!

*side note to toots* You would love her stuff!

2 cats, it has literally been years since I read anything of hers. I am so going to have to look on amazon to see if I can find a couple to start off with again now. I tend to go back and forth with authors and love her type of books and writing style. heheh time to revisit me thinks!

Way too much to post to catch up on everyone, so if I leave you out, it's most definitely not intentional!

Ooo 2cats, sounds like you're really getting on with the scrapbook, well done!

Skint, the cakes are absolutely fab! LOVE little Bo Peep! I'm so delighted this is slowly taking off for you, and it sounds like you're still enjoying it which is the main thing (well, aside from the odd disaster of course!)

Mabel, sounds like you're still having lots of fun with your gardening, hope you're still talking to the plants, they don't like to be neglected!! Hope your site is fixed soon and you'll have to promise not to break it again :D

Jo, you sound a bit more relaxed now, please please remember to take time out for yourself, you make me worry sometimes! Thank you for doing May's mini moves - while I only did one or two, it was enjoyable nonetheless to read your suggestions and see how everyone fared with them.

I think the June leaps are a great idea, and I wish everyone well with them!

Paula, I hope your Grandma is comfortable and I know she will be surrounded by loved ones too. On a lighter note, you are positively buzzing with energy right now, and it sounds like you're having sooo much fun with the kids! Enjoy it, the housework won't run away, kids grow up so fast you won't get that time back with them, so have fun! Personally I think it's just an excuse for you to play too ;) hehee. I'm sure it's been mentioned a zillion times to lots of different peeps around here, but do take some time if you can to trawl the Debt Free board, you'll get tons of tips for saving money on a day to day basis, and lots of hints and suggestions for how to deal with current debt. I found the most difficult part was actually facing it all, but once you actually do it, it's easier as you feel more in control. Good luck! x

Em your dancing sounds like a brilliant way to energise and brighten the day! And I have to say, though it may not be politically correct (like I care) but ..... love the invisible merkins :rotfl:

So nice to see you back Yukki, I love your plan for being mortgage free, well done!

    Welcome back Greenpixie and Laura!

MummyandPaige, you sound like you've been really busy around the house! Do the flylady thing and set your timer for 15 minutes then buzz around till it's up. Then take a break, do something nice, and when you go back, set the timer for another 15 minutes. It's amazing how much you can do in that short time and it really is fun that way.

Joey I love that stage the kittens are at, they start showing they're own little personalities!! Enjoy the chaos :D

Nixi, hope you get a chance to use your BBQ, it's glorious again up here today so I'll send some spare sunshine your way!

Rosie, hope you enjoyed your day with Bear!

Saucy, do hope you're feeling better. To be perfectly blunt, I just don't understand why you're not using your health plan - there is only one of you, and your not replaceable! That's what the plan is for, as many of us have said repeatedly - do yourself a huge favour and contact them right now to arrange the care you need. NOW. Ditto PDSA, give them a call and see what they can do for puppy. Think I must be confused too about your course, I thought it was something entirely different. Surely you can't do a veterinary course online? Or am I have a grey moment (not unusual :D).

Elly, delighted to hear that your house move has worked out your finances so well, I'm sure your plan to be debt freem in 2 years will work out - in fact I wouldn't be surprised if you make it happen sooner! Good luck!

NLID hope you're ok, also Lilacpixie and Evenstarcrafty, missing you too! I'm sure there are others who have disappeared, if you're out there reading, know that we're thinking of you.

Hugs to all as always! This is turning into a lazy day, interspersed with 15 minutes flying!! But let me tell you, it works!

I'm usually a chick lit girl, but have just read a John Grisham and really enjoyed it, so have hunted through the pile of books under the bed and found another.

I have all John Grisham's Yukki, so if you want more give me a shout. Or at least I think I still do..... I have more books than I care to mention and have a hard time parting with them, but in this pokey place I just don't have the space so I had a clear out a couple of years ago and donated a lot to the local library and/or freecycled some. I'll have a look and see if I still have them - enjoyed them but will not reread, unlike many of my precious bookshelf squatters!

Munchki gave me a Diana Gabaldon to read and despite slight misgivings on my part, I started it on the train and couldn't put it down! So think I may well have to look into Katherine Kurtz! Like I need an excuse for more books :rotfl:

Lol Mabel, they must be enjoying your chat! So glad you're having fun with them and now able to add them in to your dinner plans!

We've got 2 lovely French girls staying with us at the moment, they arrived with French biscuits, crepes, some caramel honey type thing and some pastries. We want to send them home with a gift too - has anyone got any ideas? I was thinking maybe English honey and tea but that's not very exciting and i doubt they'd like the tea... any thoughts? If anyone's thinking of having students, i'd recommend having at least 2 at a time as they entertain/ look after each other and it's so much easier. Last time we had one lad - he was lovely but he was joined to us, it was like having a teenage son.

Ooops just been told off by OH - i suggested spending the day in the garden so we can get lots done, but i spent about 30 mins chopping plants back and generally creating a mess before i came inside. He's mown the lawn and sanded down the table and chairs and is now staining them. I guess i'd better get back out there...
