Paula this blog is great for ideas. not sure how many are the right sort of age for your kids but worth a look through. also the newsletter archives of a magical childhood has some great ideas for fun. the earlier ones are from when her children were younger. there is a bit of repetition but they are great.

Morning, Paula, Rosie, Jo and of course anyone lurking in the shadows!

Not long up, now have coffee in hand and trying to decide what to do today. WOW never thought I would get to that stage, of course there are a few boxes hiding in the shed and on a shelf that need to be sorted, but not urgent so not worried. I think today I am going to have a proper mostly me sort of day. I have a few cross stitch projects that I have been trying to finish for months and such so going to work on the two that need finishing and then I have a new one that I want to start working on so stitching and films is the rule of order here today oh and lots of coffee and chatting on here!

slightly chilly and overcast here this morning but at least not blowing a gale like it was yesterday wow! What does everyone else have planned for the day?

    xx

    Morning everyone *waves*

Nixi - loved the link thanks. Don't shoot me anyone, but I tend to agree. A postive attitude goes a long way, but you do have to be realistic about things. If you buy a lottery ticket imagining yourself winning, does that mean it will happen? Encouragement from everyone on here has given most of us the confidence to get out there and try to earn extra money, for most, it has worked, but it wasn't willing the money to you that made it happen, it was the hard work and determination that did that. It was us who put in the effort, us who worked, not sitting there willing ,but getting up and doing.

Rosie - Bear Grylls, wow. Is it sad that I am the only one who watches him? OH started it, but he is awesome with what he knows, ok, so he is american, and (no offense Munchki) they do tend to overdo it on the enthusiam on the tele, but then so did the Crocodile Hunter!

Skint - can I join you in the £100 by sunday? Got a lot of carp to get shot of on cheapcycle and eBay, so a bit of motivation to get rid of it!

Munchki - heeellloooo! Glad you had a lovely weekend and have found a life long friend! Enjoy your time to do whatever the hell you please! Doing what you have to gets in the way a lot, realx, breathe, smile, enjoy! x

Em - OMG, I luaghed so hard this morning when BBC2 kids tv had a certain program on, I think I may have found an excellent use for your googly eyes! Yay, someone posted it on Youtube! link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7JQiY_uqVk

And lastly, Mabel :D highlight it!

Sorry I haven't been about much, been a busy bee! Been trying to do Flylady too, I got to the stage where it was decluttering and looked around and thought OMG, it hit me that I had been trying to do too much and not really getting anything of much done, I swear Kim and Aggie would have a field day in here. So I have been mega decluttering, got my eBay pile, my freecycle pile (most has been collected) and 11 binbags full of carp that the binman took this morning. Worst thing is, thats only 2 rooms :( I also have sooo much to list on eBay that I have been avoiding it, so have been breaking it down into little tasks, 5 at a time, and I am getting there, slowly, but I am! Have gutted the conservatory and I am putting all of the listed stuff in there so I can see just how far I have got when I get overwhelmed.

Mega post, I know, oh well, serves me right for being too busy to natter all week!

Morning everyone. I'm having a lazy day too after a quick flick round with a duster and vac. Now I've read your post Munchki, I'm looking over at my cross stitch and thinking I may have another go at it. Trouble is I would need to stop Farmville-ing for a while in order to free up my hands. So difficult. I sometimes think my laptop is going to gradually attach itself to my legs, it spends so much time on my knee! I'm a sad case!!

Kittens have gone into mad mode this morning - they have learned to climb up my sofa so they are having a competition to get up and then jump off as quickly as they can. And the mum is feeling left out so she is trying to join in too! Aargh! I might go back to bed!

As if that wasn't long enough! I forgot:

Paula - thankyou for the rag rug thing, I have bookmarked a how to guide http://www.fourgoodcorners.com/how-to-make-a-rag-rug/ for one day, when I have time, thought it would be a good idea for the baby clothes, most don't make much money on eBay, and at least the stained ones can be used too!

Jo - thankyou muchly for all of the mini-moves this month, you are a star! You are a real cornerstone to the dribblers!

Amber - wher are you? Hope you are feeling better after your op xx

umm, there was one more, but.......nope, its gone again :D

This is this weeks if anyone missed it :-

Each day this week try to save a £1 you can either save it by not spending where you normally would or by earning a pound extra by any means (legal) Put any savings to one side. At the weekend this set aside money is your Hooray money, use it to make yours or someone close to you's Hooray moment. Let us know what they are!
(You don't have to use the money if you'd rather save it but make sure you do. Something to give yourself a Hooray moment even if its a bath or read a book.

Think mine today will be using salad leaves from the garden for dinner instead of buying them they are just about ready :-)
