    Morning all.

Not happy with our local result - and actually really surprised that the conservatives got in here.......huge furore about closing our firestations last year and it was the conservatives that wanted it, yet they have still been voted in....looks like we are going to loose our firestation this year :(

By all out of my hands now - I did my bit!

Mind you I can see that there will be another election quite soon, so it could all sort itself out in the wash!!

Right - need to wake myself up and get going ........ regretting staying up so late now lol!

Hope everyone has a good day.

MummyP - wow, sounds like you and OH are making real progress, an extra £800 a month, how fantastic - you'll have a fleet (?) of boats soon!!

    Morning all,

Ended up slightly late for work last night, completely forgot all about it til my dad asked me when I wanted a lift, looked at the clock - 'Erm.. about 10 minutes ago but I just need to get changed and slap some make up on first' :o Nevermind :rotfl:

    Babymoo - I have PM'ed you back.

DS is at preschool til 4 so I have no excuse not to get anything useful done today; Already done a workout DVD so feeling pretty pleased with myself :D

I'm beginning to realise just how little I know about politics. Saying that, until yesterday I didn't realise that the Conservative candidate was actually a woman, she won around here though. Apparently it's really odd that the whole of Leicester stayed Labour and pretty much the whole of Leicestershire went Conservative but I so don't understand politics, so I don't get why that's weird or massively important. Seems kinda odd though, since it's always been the same Labour MP around here for at least the last decade (school trip in yr6 to the houses of parliament to go see him, I vaguely remember this) Plus I'm kinda annoyed since everyone told me to write to him for help with the council and now no-ones going to care about his opinion! Saying that, I didn't vote for him so I don't really have a right to complain. Politics makes my head hurt! Especially after 4 hours sleep, which, according to Mum is ages. I was up a little bit late this morning and she was b!tching about how I 'finished work at just gone 2, how could I be tired' coming from someone who works 5 hours a day, heats up readymeals and sits on FB or watching carp TV and gets 8hrs sleep a night and still complains, daily, about how awfully tired she is. Yet because my about 4 hours is more than my about 3 hours when I've got work I should magically be so much more awake!

    Oops, sorry, rant over! :o

I think we should have a system, where he who has highest vote % wins nationwide. . Seats are allocated out based on this.

morning all, just wanted to add my post to the new shiny.
Are we still talking about politics???
I'm so over it already. I was kind of hoping a hung parliment was exactly that, hang them all and start over.

Nikki, whoever gets in doesn't mean their policies come in overnight anyway hun. I'm sure some of the stuff labour promised in their 1997 campaign hasn't happened at all..would just carry on as normal for now.

Yay, the wee man looked so happy when I showed him the nursery (ok it might have been the fact the woman was giving him biscuits but anyhoo). Think it would do him good to be integrated in with other kiddies (plus it means I could get my housework/homework/business done)

Anyway, must do the ironing. I have two huge mountains eek!

Real work at 5 :(. Off out on Saturday though, off on Sunday. :D:D

    Right Bad Day ime again...

Just had a client cancel on me - which isnt a bad thing as the job was way underpriced, however it really screws up my cashflow for paying for business expenses as we were just about running on a break even level.

I really need to start getting these projects off the floor before the end of this month. otherwise I am basically up the creek without a paddle.

I think desperation will set in soon.

Sorry to hear that NLID, you can rely on life to give you a kick in the teeth when you least need it :-/ Keep strong tho, it will get better for you hopefully soon.

cagne...I'd pay to watch your version of a hung parliament!

Nothing planned for today except docs appointment later. watching the election news but am getting a bit fed up with it all now,the sooner they change the dumb way that the election works the better. Party with most votes wins..end of...why so difficult??!!
