Did you try Basildon? I know they definitely had one vacancy this afternoon, as my friend phoned them. She decided not to take it, as she and another friend of hers were hoping to do it together. Seeing as they didn't have two spots, she turned them down. Why do women have to do things in pairs?

No, I didn't because I didn't see your post until after the office there would all have all gone home and anyway as Martin's website now has about 500 billion eyeballs on it I didn't think there was much chance smeone else hadn't beaten me to it! But thanks again. :)

I'd have no chance Sunderland are always first to declare and only have the fastest bank tellers counting

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/election_2010/8662203.stm

last year polls closed at 10 and we declared at 10:45

    quote from bbc

"Many of them work in banks where they regularly count paper at speed. All have their own tried and tested methods, often preferring rubber thumbs to moist finger sponges which can cost valuable seconds."

LOL - read the thread title - Make over £200 on the election? - and thought this was a betting tip!!

Wasn't sure if John Higgin's was standing as a candidate somewhere, and it was a sure fire one to back!!

Find a list of all the safe seats in the country and do an accumulator bet for £1.

Or, better still, if you're feeling super ambitious predict every constituencies result on an accumulator and, as put on the votenow show, everyone employed by William Hill would now be working for you and there would not be enough 00's for your bank account.

With online voting comes great potential to fix the results.
