Make over £200 on the election?

I am counting votes at the election Thursday night and they are paying over £200 in my area.I emailed my council yesterday to see if my daughter and friend could apply ,and within an hour they got a phone call saying yes,my daughter then sent an email asking if her partner could help and he was offered the job too.Thats £600 for one family for one nights work.
So why noyt give your local council a try,as they could be short of helpers too.

just give your council a ring, and they will check if they need more people
(apparently Cardiff had enough people 'volunteer' before the election date was even announced!)
Handy to know for local elections as well so will try again later (or in 6 months time if there is another general election) - thanks OP!Learning to live with an IVA - no overdraft - no credit cards - no safety net - very very scary _pale_ All advice gratefully received! :A0 -

I can't believe any local authority would leave it until the last day?"fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." (Bertrand Russell)0
