This is an article about Vodafone changing the policy...

    http://www.bitterwal...customers/29230

I urge people to send this link and a brief description of what's happened to all the gadget/consumer/mobile websites. I.e. the big ones such as Stuff/T3/Gizmodo/GSMarena/Engadget. All of these sites run this sort of story regularly.

The only way we can get this changed is to publicize it.

I'll put my hands up to forwarding that on ;)

The more this gets publicised the better

Also I'm not on facebook but if someone set up a facebook group with an interesting name that could be useful too...

It's a disgrace, I regularly go over the 500mb, not by a great deal, only about 100mb or so, but it's not like I'm hammering the data.
I download 3 podcasts a week, some of which will come via wifi, depending on when they get released and if I'm at home or not. Other than that, it's RSS feeds, browser use and googlemail.
I dread to think what my usage might be if I actually ever used beebPlayer as well.
I've been with vodafone for about 11 years, but this underhand tactic will probably cause me to cancel my contract if possible, it is undoubtedly in detriment to me and I have not been notified at all, via email, letter, or even text message. I'm about 10 months into a 24 month contract, so I have genuine examples of bills of over 500mb where I've not been charged for the extra usage.
I've subscribed to this thread to keep tabs, are there any other threads I should keep an eye on?

I spoke to retentions today to get my PAC and the guy swore blind that VF had always charged for going over the 500Mb and that the charging would not be a change to the t&cs because they had always done it!:rotfl:

Here's a grab of my bill from this month, the data charged is for 4 picture messages. I was absolutely not charged for the extra 48mb.
You'll have to add the http:// bit, as I'm too new to post images on here apparently.

Same just happened to me - I imagine my post will now disappear completely - need to keep this thread going.

I only received my handset yesterday as a new VF customer! What happens next will help me decide whether or not to keep it.
