But 7(b) says:We may change or withdraw services at any time and we may introduce new terms to this agreement at any time. If we do we'll give you 30 days notice.
As far as I am concerned they are changing services and as such must provide 30 days notice.
The communications act stipulates this also.
And I have been advised that the law governs. Not the contract.

Updated July 2008. If you have an older contract to read then if you've taken any upgrades since July 2008 then you'll have signed up to the new T&C as part of that upgrade.
Your right the law governs, and as long as you were given notice by a means set in your contract then it's valid.
My point was notice can be served by simply posting on a notice board (in this case a electronic one) and be deemed served. You don't have to have had a text or a physical letter. and as the post has been on the forum a whiile you may already have been deemed to have had your notice period.
I know it sounds silly, and to be honest seems to me to be a sneaky way of doing things but thats how it stands. It could be said that as the Offical Vodafone Forum has been prominantly displaying the changes that could serves as notice too.0 -

Last time I checked my diary September came prior to October? Going by Vodafone's "rules". April 1987 is Prior to October 2010.
It is almost as if Vodafone are behaving like a 5 year old child that makes up the rules of a game because they can't handle losing.
They will do their best to use whatever is most likely to be in their favour (even if they're wrong) and yes the 5-year-old-that-makes-up-the-rules analogy sounds about right! Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0 -

Mine is the agreement sent to me.

Fair enough Does it not specify how they should contact you in the event of changes?0 -
I am totally confused.
I have just spoken to some idiotic manager at Vodafone and said they should give at least 30 days notice of any changes.
He said that means up to 30 days. 30 days or less. And the 7 days notice they gave me is less than 30 days so Vodafone are not wrong.
Now I read this as being 30 days being the miniumum period of notice? Not less than 30 days?0 -

NOT 30 or less? Like 29, 28 ---> 45 minutes like someone had on here?

I'm still unsure as to what the situation is for those of us who, like me, use more than 500mb a month of data but have not received a text message. Therefore I've not written to them as officially I have nothing to write to them about - they've not informed me of anything.
I did not receive any text messages informing me of the upcoming changes despite my monthly usage averaging around the 2GB mark. I just sent a letter in, following the process dictated by Vodafone, and then constantly contacted them via email, phone and Twitter until my case was resolved. This took two weeks and resulted in me leaving Vodafone having terminated my contract with them.
