Good on you for Learning a Language!! Both my boys are welsh speakers so if you want help give me a shout.

Just a little note about your earnings, even if you do earn over £20 they will just deduct the difference from you benefit. You do need to be careful re the permitted earnings side of it as it is Incapacity that you are claiming and not JSA/ESA. They may also be interested in the number of hours that you are working if your earnings increase dramatically. If my memory serves me right though they can average out your earnings if they are not regular. You do need to seek some advice as you obviously want to do things above board.

A proper high tea - yum yum yum

We always used to go out for High Tea when we stayed with my Uncle in Banchory when I was little. We were up in Blairgowrie last year and couldn't find one anywhere, I was very disappointed :(

Evening MG and all, just delurking to find out what happened with said joiner and apple pie?? Or did i miss that post...

no - i was being discreet:cool: apple pie was a hit tho - and he's coming over for his tea next week - with the plans for the chicken coop for the school:D

Found some risotto rice hiding at the back of my cupboard, but have no idea what to do with it...any chance someone could help with a recipe - little people friendly please :D

    Many thanks xxx

this is the one my kids love

    PEA AND PARMESAN RISOTTO

75g risotto rice per grown up (you judge how much the littlies will eat)
    butter
chicken or veg stock - at the boil
    clove of garlic
    cup of frozen peas
    parmesan and butter to finish

melt a large knob of butter in a pan over a medium heat.

crush the garlic and cook gently in the butter for a minute before adding the rice and stirring to get each grain coated in butter. you now need to cook the rice gently stirring gently until the grains begin to go translucent.

now add the stock a ladle full at a time and stir the risotto every couple of minutes until the rice is al dente. depends on how fresh your rice is, but about 20 minutes or so. add another ladle of stock and the peas and cook for a couple of minutes until the peas are hot - but still taste fresh.

remove from the heat and stir in another large knob of butter and a small handful of parmesan per person.

serve in soup bowls - i like my risotto quite wet, it kinda slumps on the plate rather than sittin gup like mashed poatoes iyswim? if its too stiff a splash or two of stock or boiling water just before serving sorts it out.

this is ds1 number 1 cheapie recipe - in fact we have risotto in one shape or form every week. hope you like it too.

  • Presumably the £20 is profit not income? (For the future, when you come off incapacity, you can still claim DLA - do you get higher rate - because you can use the mobility element for transport if you don't actually get a car. My friend is blind, so obviously she can't drive, so she uses hers for taxis to and from work)

Your makes are lovely. You have a real talent, as MG says - an artiste. There are a lot of websites out there selling tat for more than you do - you must value yourself - you've made a big step today by putting your prices up! Well done... I wish I was artistic rather than mathematical. I am a follower of patterns lol!

By the way MG, if I can help at all, with anything, then see my hand waving :) xx
