    MG,
I am not a student so not really sure what I might get out of a student survival guide so I might pass on this one. However my hands are up to help organise any that you may need help with.
Oh, I just thought on, I am learning Welsh!!!!!!! That is being a student isnt it? HA!!! Ok, count me in. (still happy to help organsise
Just a thought here but as you have the blog would it make sense to do a post there with details and anybody interested could register their interest in the comments box.? Its all in one place and easy to access for you then.

  • PS Mr Big texted and is stranded due to industrial action on the airline.

Just wondered where is he flying from and to? I've been called into work to operate a london-scotland flight!

Why don't you try something where you follow precise instructions to get to your goal

Knitting, sewing crafts - my thing is cross stitch for precisely the same reasons as you; I do not have a crafty bone in my body. I find it relaxing, and someone has already done the hard arty bit :)

Or card making maybe - you can get kits and templates where it even tells you what colour to do it

Or rubber stamping.... You can make beautiful creations with that

Or.. quilting - which is a sandwich of material and wadding, and sewing through the three layers either in straight lines or free style.

There is so much, and even if you aren't arty, there are things to do...

Load of threads on here for cheap tips too... (if you fancy cross stitch I might be able to rustle up a beginner's kit so you can have a go x)

Wow, thanks for the ideas. I think I'll nip to the local craft store one of the days and maybe have a go at something.

Now you mention it, I used to love doing embroideries when I was at school. I'd forgotten about doing that.

I've never mastered knitting or crocheting -something else my mum was amazing at
