Wow, thanks for the ideas. I think I'll nip to the local craft store one of the days and maybe have a go at something.

Now you mention it, I used to love doing embroideries when I was at school. I'd forgotten about doing that.

I've never mastered knitting or crocheting -something else my mum was amazing at

Once you get started it is addictive - at least I find so with my cardmaking
  • MG Just wanted to pop on to say since receiving your book which I haven't had chance to look at but have been inspired by the thread I have applied for a new job, next grade up to what I am. Will involve traveling but my present job ends next year anyway. Haven't had the courage to apply before as I am happy where I am and don't really want to leave but know I need to start looking. Will let you know if I get called for an interview.

Can I ask who are Mike and Mike's mob? They sound like an interesting bunch.

Mr Big's coming to visit:jThat's so exciting.

Very long story short: Mike came on MSE a desperate man, living in awful circumstances because a builder gutted his home and then ran away with the money. He had lost his job and his way in life. The support on here got him fired up enough to take action & he managed to get DIY SOS Big Build in to finish his whole house.

Mike's Mob are MSE'ers who helped him on the way.
