Nope I'm not putting them up again, It took hours yesterday :) And now suprise suprise, i've got hell of a mess to clean again :(, no sandwiches done again, couldn't see worktop for dishes, full dishwasher of dishes not turned on , cushions and throws all over the living room, rubbish left on settee, shall I go on?............

Oh and my mess jewellery on the windowsill and 2 boxes of jewellery on the dining table.....

when I got up this morning I was tempted to say I can't do this....... too much concentrating on the business and keeping the house tidy, but thought no.... I will do it....... might take me a bit of time but i'll get there.... so I did sandwiches and started cleaning the kitchen.

Just waiting for dishwasher to cool then i'm going to empty and fill it, I've already got a line full of washing out, so need to sort more of that too.

Clairewop - have you thought of finding little specialist boutiques and see if they will sell your items, OK you won't get such a high price per item as they will need their markup, but very limited admin etc., somewhere that specialises in one off clothing, you could even do some items to coordinate with their idea of this seasons colour ranges. I'd have thought the idea of individual designer jewellery to accesorise their items would be a good sales pitch.

Other shops to contact would be the goth/emo ones. Just wonder if maybe you should market as 2 different brands as likely to be different clientele.

At the moment I've not got the confidence to approach shops. Sorting the website, getting flyers sorted and working through the ideas given is a big step for me.

Thinking of which :- now flyers are done, I will need to work out how much to charge for lessons and parties etc, so I don't look like a complete idiot if i get asked :)

the other thing I was thinking of was gift vouchers? but how would they be redeemed?

    Hi all,

Had my head down today. Felt good to be flexing my design muscles again, instead of pursuing displacement activities, but I ache now :rotfl:So, so glad you like yours Claire.

Groatie queen - one thing that occurred to me when people were posting re bubble kits is that I think they are quite easy to improvise. Wire coat hanger or similar for the hoop and just the right mix of water and washing up liquid. Of course it will involve extensive experimentation to get it JUST right, how awful :D

    Positive vibes to all,

    TGR :)

Takes me back more years than I can bear to remember - but oh wasn't it fun:rotfl:

    My horoscope for today

We have good intentions from the feisty Aries Moon today, but following through on an idea may not be as easy as we think. It helps that we aren't quite as distracted as we were yesterday; at least now we may be able to find time to catch our breath before starting another activity. Nevertheless, it may require a couple of false starts before we are willing to accept the fact that it's a much better day for planning than it is for doing.

Claire - you need to whip the men's (OH, and your DSs) lazy a$$es into shape!! DD is 5 and even she knows that after she finishes a meal, she needs to put her plate in the dishwasher or if it's full of clean stuff, we empty it together. They're all old enough to make their own sandwiches, heck the 16 year old is old enough to leave home, who would clear up after him then?!?

They can see you're trying to set up something amazing from the dining room table, they need to get behind you and help out. You ARE wonderwoman but they are............ ;)
  • Sending positive vibes to Chesrisong and Parsniphead. Hope it turns out as you wish.
Clairewop - it may come as a shock but you are doing this = look how far you have come and I have only been following this thread for a week......

yep I know :( but no-one listens, i asked dh to do sandwiches last night as i was going to bed and to empty what rice pudding was left in the slow cooker into a container and put in the fridge. (he did that).

Never mind no good moaning, done now, i'm off to reload the dishwasher, have a quick clean, pop in the shower, then get my jewellery packed and ready to send etc.

oohhh another thought I had in the middle of the night......... packaging....... All jewellery is presented in gift boxes....... but I thought about when sending internet sales whether to wrap the box in tissue paper or a plain paper with ribbon??? or offer a wrapping service???
