HA a woman after my own heart. I just thought that I would stop for lunch and take it easy this afternoon and I realised that it was already clocking off time! What happened to the clock taking 8 hours to actually get through 8 hours? I think I live in a parallel time zone! Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
I didn't get writers block today MG- had to re do, DD2's application form for student finance-despite them having it, have also had all the evidence necessary( and sent back) They only let us know today, and after two phone calls finally admitted they had lost it. So have had to re do, wouldn't let me send on line, so printed and sent by special delivery
It can only get better eh?Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

OH NO!!!!! Please don't tell me we are going to have the same debacle as last year:eek::eek:
I do hope the "lost paperwork" is not a "ahem" - commom issue that means they don'thave to count your daughters application as "Failed to meet time objectives" because the application was deemed to be incomplete. Shifts the blame ans skews their figures.
Go get em Bob!!!

Last TADA
Sorted through the clean washing that i brought in from the line.
put away everything that didn't need ironed
stacked what did into mine, ds1 and ds2 piles
put ironing board and iron in livingroom for later
set the table for dinner
wiped out the bathroom
Put bottom sheet back on my bed (rest gets ironed later0
So not a bad ending to the day - even managed to get some work done on my shabby chic projects so thats a bonus.
Parentals should be bringing ds1 back pretty soon - so might just pop into ds2 bedroom and do some sneaky rewinding of videos whilst he is otherwise engrossed in Bob the builder on Cbeebies.
later peeps

Sorry to hear about the horridness with the Headteacher's husband. The mind boggles that he thinks it is acceptable to verbally abuse a volunteer let alone physical abuse.....
I have been in Scotland all weekend helping DD1 move things into her new student flat in Stirling so I would have gladly driven over and joined the crowd who were going to growl menacingly in the background but I have been without the internet so this is the first I've heard of it. You have probably got the best outcome you could all things considered, personally I would have been tempted to tip the paint over his head.
Challenge wise I put on half a pound this weekend so not the best of weeks, although I did enjoy it. Oh & the hot water tank didn't actually need replacing, just a leak from a pipe so that saved £200 or so.0 -

 I hope they do get it sorted. I just wonder how they could lose it- i put every piece of evidence in the relevant section:think: They would have had to look at the section and send it back-weird huh. As DD unfortunately has a couple of disabilities they managed to send that form out and request further up to date medical proof ( lifelong conditions and proof of condition not being enough) This was a whole 4 weeks ago.
Today we get the letter. Totally useless.
Oh well i am glad i was able to help out DD and we have to look on the bright side, the money will come in and she will be sorted. I have requested it from the universe:D
Good news re shabby chic project. I have a corner unit i want to paint in cream for the kitchen-problem is finding space in the kitchen..lol:rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I want my mum to arrive right now.
The floors are mopped, the carpets hoovered, my sink is shiny, my bathroom gleaming, my washing basket empty and i've started the ironing - and in the oven is a shepherds pie and a loaf of raisin bread!!!!!!!!!!!
For the next five minutes (until the mess fairies start getting it messy again) i am an official domestic goddess. I have peaked girlies, this is it!!!!!!!! its all downhill to a slovenly Chrimbo from here on in (Just kidding).
Usually she arrives and the house is, well, a "work in progress" LOL
