Well the first two "glowing reviews" of Champneys are CLEARLY posted by a staff member who has created accounts specifically to defend the company. This has had the opposite affect of course, as now everyone can see how dishonest these people must be, and can get an idea of how unprofessionally the place must be run.

I recommend complaining higher up in the company, and mentioning what you suspect the staff have done on this board, as well as your bad experience at the place. Sounds like they need a new manager.

I can't imagine why employees of a company would come on and write posts like that. I am sure the Marketing Manger/Director wont be best pleased. So unprofessional and I am sure everyone would have possibly given champneys a chance themselves, even after reading this thread, but now.... I am put off completely and will never try it out.

I am astonished that in a time of financial hardship that Champney's is not falling over backwards to make amends. If KA Burnett is Mavis then she should be immediately passing this site and post on to her bosses and apologies and reparation given - no question. no if's or buts.
All these one time posts - please - it only ignites suspicion that Champney's cannot get it's 'Guest Liason' off her kaiser to help someone who is so obviously dissatisfied = do i want to go there over other Spa's that are recommended = NO!

Obviously I am dismayed to have not received a response but then I had read on trip advisor of some one who made a complaint and never heard anything back. My complaint was read by the manager first thing yesterday and whilst I appreciate she may busy to reply straight, it would not have taken much to send a quick reply to say she was sorry for my experience and looking into it...

While I appreciate what your saying Righter and obviously cannot comment on Tring, generally speaking Champneys are still lagging behind other spas in terms of facilities, decent bedlinen, mood lighting, some decent aromatherapy oils/incense to create an atmosphere and most of all the excellent customer service we all crave (I am talking of champneys as a whole)

OnTheUp, I find a question by another poster interesting, did you in any way indicate to any staff that you had made this thread or complained on the internet about their service?

    Hi Pendulum,

No I did not and would not. i do not want them to reply to my complaint just because I am posting about it on a public forum. Surely they should be interested in resolving my complaint regardless of what exposure I had given to the subject.

What ever the outcome I still feel that champneys is no longer on par with other modern day spas and therefore would still have wanted to post my opinions on this

I have saved this thread and will be forwarding it to their head office as I think the underhand tactics of pretending to be a consumer, is not what they would approve of and tbh why bother informing Forest mere, they clearly already know lol
