I could rant about this, but the article says it all.

£50 pair of CAT boots still running strong after 5 year thats under £1 a month :)
  • Hi - I am a 41 year old female and have never understood the fasination with women and shoes!!

I have a pair of black sandals which I ALWAYS wear on a night out and have done so for the last 6 years!! I have one pair of trainers which I only wear when it's cold, a pair of boots for the winter and a pair of flippy floppy things for the nice weather!!

Manage okay with these and only buy a new pair when one runs out (which then get thrown in the bin!!)
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:
  • Are 'most' women obsessed with shoes?...and/or handbags for that matter? I'm not, I am beginning to wonder if I'm a freak???

And I've never watched an episode of Sex in the City.
  • No, I'm the same, another female person who can't understand the "shoes" thing.

I never realised we were "supposed" to be obsessed with shoes until recent years. But that's how it seems - as if it's a requirement of being female to be obsessed with trivial or decorative things... hmmm... don't get me started... ;)

Buying shoes is just a pain in the @$$ as far as I'm concerned. If I could get away with going around barefoot I would. (No disrespect to people in the world who HAVE to go barefoot and would prefer not to, of course.)

Poor girl, is all I can think!

80 pairs of shoes and she dares say "Do I really have a pair of shoes to go with this outfit?"

However I was pleasantly surprised to read she SAVED up enough to buy some shoes from that NYC place but then thought to herself she couldn't justify spending £400 on a pair and walked out without them. All is not lost then.
