That food looks soooo yummy, can you tell us what the pie type thing is at the front? I am starvin now!! Like your dish that the pasta is in too, infact it all looks really lovely, whats in the salad?0 -
Havent read the thread yet as I'm at work but caught Elonas post at the top. I'm thinking of you and will remember you in my prayer ((Hugs)).
Had a night of insomnia last night and feel terrible today its always like this on a Monday, hate leaving DD but really cant see a way round it at the moment, I was juggling the budget at 2.30am to see if I could give up but whatever way I look at it we need at least £300 more than DH makes each month everything is cut right back to the bone already the only thing I could do is take his beloved car off him and I dont think he would go for that. It just feels that I'm making all the sacrifices and hes just getting on with his life the same as it was 20 months ago before Joanna came along.
Sorry that proberbly is badly written but its the way I'm feeling today, just miss DD so much when I'm not there.Sorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Hi ageandjo
The pie is a salmon plait, I posted the recipe a few days ago here, it's really easy http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=243372&highlight=picnic
The salad box is chopped mixed peppers, peeled cucumber (home grown so can't eat the skin or I wouldn't have bothered:rolleyes:), celery & red onions then sliced tomato round the edge. Mixed leaves & watercress were under the chicken legs & salmon plait respectivley.
Most of the food is in picnic dishes etc but I ran out so the pasta salad is in a bowl which is part of my precious & now discontinued Denby "Marrakesh" dinner service. I'm paranoid about any of it getting broken:rolleyes: You can't see from the photo but I made a cake stand out of 2 dinner plates propped apart by a tea cup, I was pleased with myself for this:D I put the cheese on a platter with halved cherry tomatos & halved tinned black olives. Usually just put grapes on but this looked really effective & posh but was cheap 'cos halving meant didn't need to use loads & tinned olives are yummy, & will def use again;)Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p
