Although could meet for a coffee/cold drink (depending on weather!!) one lunchtime, Thursday or Friday?

Cool sounds good. I only have to do one update an hour at 20 to the hour so should be available!!

Tickle you sound so busy these days, I hope Mr TM is not continuing to be a useless lump?

moggins ... don't be daft, girl. He's a man!! I mean, yesterday was supposed to be my lie-in ..... yeah, right! So today, when it was his turn, I brought my brekkie upstairs to eat it in bed whilst I watched GMTV :D (Not that he noticed) Anyway, he's away again!

Just ask Nels what he's like (but he does pack the DW and do his own ironing, as he continually tells me :D:D)

Well, I've just bottomed the living room and hadn't even put the vac away when DS1 and 3 of his mates rushed in there, threw the cushions on the floor and started to wrestle. What was worse was that they had just been playing with the gerbils so I had sawdust dropping from them all over the place. Another vac needed and they were all sent outside pronto :rotfl:

Ah well, maybe I'll do the bathroom now .... after I've hung the washing out.

Why cant you eat the skin on homegrown ones? I always eat skin and am hoping to grow some next year, weather permitting, so was wondering. Is there something harmful about it??

Just this particular type you can't eat the skin of. Not commecially grown as people wouldn't buy ones they had to peel I suppose but lovey flesh if you don't mind peeling. Sorry, not sure of the name as I didn't grow them though, that was my uncle-in-law:o

Hi Churchmouse, lovely to have you back! Assumed you were busy with the F/L! Hope things are a bit better for your friend now. Lillibet - sounds like you did a great job! I'll check out the piccies later when I sit down with a cuppa. Only popped on quickly to try and get some advice on my tomatoes (posted a seperate thread) - had to post a piccie of it, so have done one of my fence too .... I know you're all dying to see it, lol. At least Catowen was :D

The next bit is a litttle tricky as the neighbours are adamant that the boundary doesn't continue in a straight line - apparently it's supposed to go at a 90 degree angle towards my garden...... Have worked out what to do at last - but hand still isn't up to that ammount of work. (But then I'd guess that all this typing isn't exactly good for it :D)
Shez - sending loads and loads of positive vibes your way ;) 'The force' is telling me that muffins are in order.... :D Hope you feel better soon. Don't think this constantly fluctuating weather is helping anyone's moods.....
Must go - children to feed and cupboards are bare.... except for the mess across the top of them....

Hi Everyone, first of all (((HUGS))) to elona and ageandjo - I'll be thinking of you.

Bizarrely, have been thinking a lot about Christmas lately and what presents we could make and recycle. Thankfully OH was in the same mood and we were able to have a think about what we could do this year! Anyone else been in the Christmas mood lately?!

Will be making some bread rolls today in the machine. Bought some bread flour from the only shop in town that sold it, it was nearly twice the price of the supermarkets, but it's organic and it'll save me buying sandwiches for the rest of the week, so an overall saving I suppose!

    Hi Queen Bess

I have been having a Chrismas think too! Got given a lidless set of lovely glass storage jars last week so am trying to think of things I could do with them. So far have decided to fill 2 of them with soapnuts & top with fabric for 2 friends who need an eco-push. Can't decide on what to do with the rest though:confused: Hubby is getting an early pressie, tickets to see a show in November, he really wants to see it & it's a good way of us both getting a evening out & not acclumulating any more "stuff":D. Totally stuck on my parents though, they're getting one of the soapnut jars, but what else?

Sorry, just realized I'm hijacking the daily thread with Xmas stuff.

Hubby has just come home with a carrier bag of wild plums........now what to make with them???

Lillibet - The food at Spud's birthday looks divine! Looks like he had a good time.

I've just changed my name on the first two, most important, accounts that I have. My Tesco Clubcard and Nectar card of course!!! Bank accounts will be later in the week!
