Morning dawn2dusk and everyone that follows:T
I can't believe it's Monday already:o
It's still dark outside, it wasnt so long ago that I was sat outside at this time in the morning in the warm air but it's freezing:rolleyes:
Few things to do today, go to the bank, pick up prescription, and sort myself out for a meeting tomorrow.
I have some chicken left over from yesterdays dinner so I will make something with that for tea tonight, perhaps PP's chicken muck muck:T
oh has gone off to work and the dogs are sleeping so I will go and make a cuppa tea and come back for a browse for a while.
Hope evryone has a good Monday:T

Morning Dawntodusk and all who follow.
Elona - sorry I missed your birthday yesterday, I hope you had a great day.
Wow - this is the first time in ages that I've logged on to find less than 3 pages of daily thread! Perhaps it's because I've actually surfaced before 8 am
Moggins would be very ashamed of me today - as would Snowy and Chrchmouse if the posts from last week are anything to go by! My house is so topsy turvy it's unbelievable.Kitchen looks like a bomb has hit.... as does every other room in the house! Going to drink my tea and then the plan of action is
Fill in funding forms for college
Write shopping list
Tidy L/room
Tidy Kitchen
Go shopping
Finish making blackberry jelly (currently draining)
Tackle pile 3 of ironing
ooo - and put BM on, was too tired last night!
Loads more I could add, but I think that's just about manageable with my lot around.
Good news - I've managed to book us a weekend away in a s/c cottage in Cornwall! I'm so excited as the only holidays we've had for some time have been staying with my Mum in Cornwall. While that is usually nice it ususally involves a lot of emotional strain due to .... how can I put it..... the unpredictability of our relationship. Quite a bit of 'baggage' shall we say
The hol isn't until early October but at least we're going somewhere sometime! The boys are so excited!!!
Anyway, besst drink this tea as in another minute it'll need a micro, and if I don't hurry up there'll be another 3 pages of daily thread to read before I can get on!!!!
Hope you all have a good day, and great big hugs to you all (double if you need them)

Morning Guys!
Slept quite well last night:D
Kazonline-Your relationship sounds like my mum and I;)
WM is on and will be dried on the airer. DW will be emptied after breakie and toilet has been cleaned.
Yesterday we were able to bag a £15 supersaver room for 2 nights in November for the Good Food Show in Birmingham-just need to get the tickets now and am hoping for some voucher codes if possible. Its near our anniversary and DD would be staying at friends and we havent been away for the night just the two of us in years!
Today I must dye my hair and send some important letters. Our passports ran out in February and want to do them before they increase the prices again in October....£66:eek:
Need to also look for a cooker as ours is on its last legs-think we will look at comet or curys.
Got another invite to a wedding yesterday for the week before nephews and looks very posh! Gift list is from Harrods:eek: or John Lewis. I really need to get an outfit but dont know where to go....any suggestions
My last essay is coming on well and is 75% done and doesnt need to go in for another 3 weeks. This is my 7th and still have the exam to do in October but am able to take this at home as its difficult getting to the exam centre with my health problems. Hopefully, I will get 3 rest periods and a longer time but am just waiting on final desicions.
Breakie; Bacon Sarnie
Lunch: Jacket Spud, ham and salad
Dinner: Leftover Chicken made into a curry & rice
Hope you all have a fab day.

Chicken Muck Muck
Brown an onion in a little butter. Add leftover cooked chicken, then add tin of campells soup (I usually use the mushroom one) and heat through with heat on low.....voila....chicken mush mush! Its more like a chicken supreme and we serve with rice, or you could add some veg to it and pop a pastry top on-then you would have chicken pie.

Morning All,
Glad you were made to feel welcome DAWNTODUSK, OS seems like home to me now ,logging on to here is the first and the last thing I do each day:o.(I love the avatar BTW, my DH is a diehard westham fan).
Penny PincherReally, really happy for you. It must feel good to have sorted through some bits with your mum. I think it was Aussielass who said about breaking the cycle with your DD and shes absolutely right. You are the best mum, she has grown up in a completely loving, supportive, happy environment. I bet she turns into an adult who is confident in herself and her abilities. Big hugs.
My days plan is to clean again:rolleyes:, doesnt seem to matter how often I do it, the house is a bomb site within minutes it seems. Really got to get on with DS room today as there are piles of clothes to go away and his train set is all over the floor. I was thinking about getting a big piece of MDF or similar and glueing the trainset onto the board to he can pull it out from under the bed whenever hekes to play with little mess. Is that a good idea or bad. I've had someone ask about when he wants to add to it which makes sense but hes only 3 so I cant see that happening for some time yet.
Got someone from British Gas coming for the house check as part of their homecare package. I am cheeky and signed up for the homecare package at £16pm cause when questioned the lady from BG said they do a complete boiler and heating check plus any work that needs doing free of charge in the first 28 days. I asked if I could order it, pay the first £16 and then cancel once the work has been done - she said yes thats fine. Even congratulated me on taking advantage of it in that way, said most people do it and continue with the service. I figure the £16 is cheaper than an annual maintenance fee. Its perfect timing too as the rad in our room has been leaking onto the carpet and its soaking wet, there is even mould:eek:. I've never had rads before so not quite sure how they work etc.
Might make some dinner rolls later too, will see how the day goes. Weight watchers tonight which I know will result in a gain as there has been a fair lot of comfort eating the last few days. We had some really sad news form a work collegue of DH's which really threw me. I get back on track this week though.
Enough rambling, time for coffee,
Love to all,

Hi everybody - had great birthday but kept tossing and turning all night.
DH is thinking of us moving to a bigger house - eek! I love the idea of a couple of extra rooms and - oh bliss - a utility room!!! But it means selling our house and my dad's flat and then using savings so a bit thrown by the idea.
Ironed and starched Dd's blouse for this morning and am sitting here with a pot of tea. Will go to York later to spend the book token I was given and maybe get some of that silky wool from the Works.
DH has been "hinting" I should get back to "sensible eating".
Keep expecting a call from the hospice as my Dad is failing rapidly.
Welcome to Old style Dawn to dusk.
Ageandjo
I use the idea of chicken muck muck to make lasagne in the slow cooker - just layer the sheets with condensed soup (thinned a bit) tomatoes and onions, chicken etc.
Have a good day everybody."This site is addictive!"
