Seems a lot for leads/ plugs and coil? This is not a difficult job to do. Could DH not do it himself and save the £20 -- £30 per hour labour charges?1/11/06 -1/06/07 BSC #42

I read your post about ADHD (dozed off last night so didn't get chance to reply till this morning!) - interesting stuff - DS is taking omega3 oil already, although I've been told to try Eye Q which I think contains evening primrose oil as well. (DS possibly has ADHD for anyone else reading - we're in the process of trying to find out, but his symptoms are fairly classic)."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

We tried Eye- Q with #2 DS as he is a bit of a livewire( UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE YEAR ) and, because of cost then changed to it`s constituent ingredients - (I think its got evening primrose) and Omega to 3,6,9 instead of just 3
He does not have any diagnosis but it just calmed him down . The results over TWO DAYS were incredible. He only now takes them when we can foresee streess coming up ie, school hols or visitors . He also is Beano mad and has a massive collection . He takes himself off into his Beano world and shuts everything else out . this calms him very quickly.
Sorry this has turned into an essay. All the best with your DS.

DS gets stuck in his own little world too...or rather, the world of Doctor Who (he is currently running round the living room with a banana skin hanging out of his mouth, pretending to be an Ood...if that makes sense to anyone lol!). I've noticed an improvement in him since starting the omega3 oil, but I'm not sure if it is a placebo effect or not (although if it is, I don't really mind!).
Please don't apologise for the information - it's all very helpful!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
I`m right with you on the placebo effect. We told DS right from the start that they were to help him be calm - I think he was about 6 when we started. We still tell him thats what they are for before he has them.
I found when working with adhd youngsters that if you could get inside their little world and find their interest that helped massively with devising behaviour plans.
The treat at the end of the weekend was another good one based on a series of ( easily ) achievable tasks over the two days. This gave me some very calm weekends with all the youngsters doing treasure hunts and bedroom tidying or playing a game for a set amount of time or doing a race around the block. A mixture of physical and mental tasks. I did have alist of about 40 different ones I used to use - I`ll see if I can dig it out.
OMG another essay:o1/11/06 -1/06/07 BSC #42

:heartpuls Happy Valentines Day!! :grinheart
We decided not to spend any money on each other buying cards or gifts this valentines day, so hubby sent me an e-card (and is cooking a romantic meal of.....tuna pasta bake  this evening!), and I made him breakfast in bed (heart shaped toast and jam!). I made his lunch and put little messages in with it too.....hahaha, it sounds so cheesy!! We've been together 10 years and are still acting like silly teenagers. :rotfl:
We've slipped a bit with the money side of things this last couple of weeks - thanks to some car repairs and various other things going wrong around the house, we have ended up with over £300 on our credit card. I get a bonus in a month, it wont be much but it should hopefully cover it, but it made me realise how easy it is to slip back in the trap of sticking things on the credit card when you can't afford them. I might need a kick up the bum over the coming months (especially once I'm on maternity leave) to make sure we don't let the debts mount up.
I sat and worked our finances out the other day. I will get paid full pay for 12 weeks, then SMP for another 14 weeks, but then I will go on to zero pay. I think that will be August/September time. I have a sharesave maturing in August, but ideally don't want to sell the shares until October, as the share price tends to increase around then......so I need to keep enough money aside to cover at least a months outgoings. The sharesave money should then just about cover my lack of wages until just after Xmas (which is when I'm going back to work), plus it will should pay off the money we borrowed to have the new doors fitted last month. But it's going to be tight......:o I'm glad I worked it out though, as up until now I've been utilising the 'head in the sand' method of financial planning!
Once I'm back at work, I'm going to tackle the car loan, then start saving for a deposit for a bigger house....it never stops!
Do you think there are people who actually HAVE enough money??? I ask this because I spoke to someone at work the other day who earned £18k net per MONTH.....and they wanted a loan!!!!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
£18K a month  I remember Alvin Hall saying it doesn't matter how much you earn, people always say I would be ok if I had £200 month extra, But £18K!!!!
How are you feeling and how long do you have left now snaggles?0
