Thanks Anniestar, I was so sorry to hear about your bereavement too, hope you are holding up okay.

Yes, I finally have a bump!! Hurray!! In fact it's growing at quite an alarming rate now. I think my stomach muscles were going 'No, it's okay, we can cope, nothing to worry about here...' and then one day they just gave up and thought 'This is too much like hard work, you're 5 months pregnant, we can't hold you in any longer...!', and overnight, a huge bump appeared!

She's kicking like a fierce little kitten in there as well - I daren't go too far from the loo today, as I think she's taking her frustration out on my bladder!

I'm feeling quite inspired today though, might get some more stuff listed on eBay, clean the house top to bottom......or might have a little rest hahaha!!

Going to see my Gran again later and will stay with my Mum and Dad overnight, to give them a bit of support too.

After me and hubby have engaged in any kind of 'bedroom activities' , my bump goes extremely hard and uncomfortable for about ten minutes - I know you can get Braxton Hicks contractions, but I thought these were generally later in the pregnancy, and this has been happening since the early weeks. Yep it's perfectly normal. Something to do with orgasms triggering the release of a hormone called oxytocin which cause contractions but it isn't anything to worry about and won't trigger preterm labour or anything. If you're overdue though sex can help kick start things as semen contains prostaglandins which help to ripen the cervix...

My Grandma died this afternoon. I was with her, she seemed peaceful and I hope she wasn't in pain. She was an amazing lady, I don't know what I will do without her. I can't stop crying.
