Well, I feel a bit silly for getting upset over baby poo last night! Anyway, for all those who have spent the night worrying about it (:D) the poo is now yellow again.....lol!

I'm going to have a chat with the health visitor to see if it's normal that I'm so anxious about everything. I had post natal depression after I had ds, and it started with being ridiculously anxious, so I don't want to let myself go down that road again. The weird thing is though, in amongst all the stressing, I'm probably happier than I've ever been in my life, and don't feel depressed at all!

Natasha woke up at 5am for a feed, but it was quite nice because I've made myself a 'feeding chair' in the bedroom (basically one of those directors style deck chairs, with loads of covers and cushions on it), so I was really comfortable and cosy. Got back to sleep about 6am but then hubby had forgotten to set the alarm (it's on his side of the bed - totally his fault hahaha :)), so we didn't wake up again until 8am!! Had to virtually drag ds out of bed and he was still eating his breakfast as we were walking down the road to school!

Money wise, we've had our notification thingy from the tax credits people, and it looks as though even allowing for the fact that we still owe them £200 that they overpaid us, we will still get about £120 per month....wooo! It's not confirmed yet, as our income was actually about £1k more than we expected last year, but I hope that wont make too much difference.

We should get an updated notification through in a few days, and then I'll re-do our soa. Then I need to work out a plan to start saving up to pay off the car loan!

Hi el - yes £120 a month would be a BIG help! I know we're lucky really in that we have the sharesave to rely on to cover my lack of income, but if I don't need to use it all, it will help get rid of the car loan.

Don't want to get too carried away yet though, as they could still write and say 'actually we're not going to pay you anything, it was all a mistake' lol!

Yes, I reckon IA and quite a few others would be up for a three day bender :)

Snaggles - hope you're able to relax a little baout the feeding, as the stress can affect it :) How about using a muslin cloth - quite light, or even a little crocheted (sp?) blanket - holes for air, but enough privacy to keep prying eyes out!!

Thanks Sea, I'm sure you're right about needing to relax.....one of my Mum's 'messages of doom' about breastfeeding was that with 2 kids to look after, I would be too tired and too stressed to produce decent milk (which is why I was upset about the green poo yesterday).

The green poo has come back a little bit this evening, but the rest of her nappies today have been normal (I wont describe the contents, it IS teatime lol), so I'll just carry on doing what I'm doing, but mention it to the health visitor tomorrow. She does look healthy and happy (Natasha, not the health visitor :)), so if she's put on weight, I'll feel happy and much more confident I think.

The muslin cloth idea is a good one - I think you can buy those muslin squares fairly cheaply in Asda, and they look big enough to give us a bit of privacy. To be honest, it's not that I'm really modest, and embarrassed at the though of someone seeing a quick flash of boob - it's more that I'm very shy and hate feeling like people are watching me.

i dont know what things are like in England but in Scotland a law was passed a few years ago that allows women to feed anywhere in public i often go into town and see women feeding their kids and i think it looks great (well not great if you know what i mean) that women are now openly doing this ok it's all discreet and someone would only see something if they looked really hard but i think it's fantastic that women are feeling confident enough to do it...share saves are great arnt they they really helped us with the bills unfortunatley the hubbys company dont allow them any more damb damb damb
