Thanks Sea, I'm sure you're right about needing to relax.....one of my Mum's 'messages of doom' about breastfeeding was that with 2 kids to look after, I would be too tired and too stressed to produce decent milk (which is why I was upset about the green poo yesterday).
The green poo has come back a little bit this evening, but the rest of her nappies today have been normal (I wont describe the contents, it IS teatime lol), so I'll just carry on doing what I'm doing, but mention it to the health visitor tomorrow. She does look healthy and happy (Natasha, not the health visitor), so if she's put on weight, I'll feel happy and much more confident I think.
The muslin cloth idea is a good one - I think you can buy those muslin squares fairly cheaply in Asda, and they look big enough to give us a bit of privacy. To be honest, it's not that I'm really modest, and embarrassed at the though of someone seeing a quick flash of boob - it's more that I'm very shy and hate feeling like people are watching me.
The problem with breat feeding is that you cant *see* how much they are getting and its easy to become neurotic about it (this is coming from a mum who bottlefed and ws probably the most neurotic in the world, but thats another story).
I think that once she is weighed and its shown she is gaining (I LIVED for weigh-day ) you will feel much better.
However, (missy) you have said yourself that she looks happy and healthy. Its virtually impossible for a baby to starve itself so if she was hungry (or your milk wasnt filling her) she WOULD let you know
Little legs also used to favour green when it came to poo and AFAIK its normal
Lotsa Luv

I'm sure you're doing brilliantly with the feeding hon.
I am not that wel endowed and was able to pretty much cover up with my tops just a little over ds's face - which was a good job as he fed pretty much all the time. People just don't notice and again, once you're fully in the swing, people can be chatting away and then suddenly notice (and go bright red lol!). I find when the milk has calmed down a bit that it's easier again - did you find this with ds? It's still full leaking everywhere time now, isn't it?

Looker, when I read all of your diaries and other posts, generally they evolve/devolve into girly chat. So unless its a party, or I'm giving out support or advice I can never offer anything useful to add, so I do what most blokes do - act like a child and reduce the chat to complete muck. Sorry. But you where right about the boobies. Ive got MSE set up to send me an email everytime the word 'Boobs' is mentioned. In fact its actually the 'Boo' that activates it!This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

How long did it take people here to get pregnant?
With my 3 it was nothing more than a case of 'wanted a baby, got pregnant straightaway' Now with (new) DH nothing has happened yet. And yes we are trying although I never quite understand people who have to go about telling everyone that, like you are married and you are having sex too! Big deal.
I am getting impatient becaue it was so quick before!Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:
I have done reading too!

Hi
just been catching up on your diary. Congratulations on the birth of Natasha, she is gorgeous!!
re the breastfeeding, as long as she is doing lots of wet and dirty nappies, she is fine. You are doing a fantastic job, dont let anyone tell you otherwise. You are having your extra 500 calories a day arent you? (a good excuse for a mars bar or a boost!!;) )
do you have any breastfeeding supporters in your area? if you are at all worried you can get advice from them.
and the muslin to use when feeding is great, or if it doesnt provide enough cover, what about a cotton pram sheet?
anyway, ill take my bossy head off now.:o
congratulations again.
