She was.....although hubby and ds just roared with laughter as I sat there dripping with sick - and I'm sure Natasha smirked a little too!

    Hi Snaggles
Yes it was/is us that give our DS that "horrible medicine" lol. It is Eye Q and I know its expensive but we normally buy it when its on a 3 for 2 at Boots. Sam has dyspraxia (a bit like dyslexia) and as said before couldn't speak until he was nearly five and was behind when started school and was also terribly naughty both at home and school and since giving him this we have noticed his speech, reading, writing, behaviour - in fact everything - has improved dramatically and he has just sat the Year 2 Stats and his teacher put him in for the highest one ITMS. It takes about 3 months to start working and we had to make sure we gave him it even when we weren't sure it was working but I wouldn't for a minute stop giving him it now, I can't recommend it enough. Don't get me wrong he can still be naughty (like all little boys) but at least now its controllable if that makes sense.

Forgot to say, we researched the different Omega 3 supplements and found that Eye Q came out tops in studies at Durham University. Its been a lifesaver!!!

I agree completely, O3 is the best ever i use boots own brand and definately see a difference. It would be great and much cheaper if my kids ate brazil nuts but they don't i have tried crushiung them in weetabix which worked for about 5 days then they caught me:eek: Oh was scepical as men usually are so i stopped it for 2 weeks. Boy did we know about it, even his teacher noticed the difference!
You can touch the dust but please don't write in it !

Would you like to speak to the man in charge, or the woman who knows whats happening?

I can't get ds to eat brazil nuts either - I tried the Weetabix trick, but straight away he said 'it tastes hacky' (his word for nasty, lol).

    ARRRGGGHHHHH MEN!!!!!!!

Right, for the last 3 weeks or so, I have been up until at least midnight doing feeds, nappy changes etc, and then awake at 6am doing more of the same, plus I've been awake several times most nights doing the oligatory new-mum 'is she still breathing' checks. :o

Now, hubby has been quite helpful, getting up (albeit a bit grumpily) to help me when my spd has been bad, but I think I've been quite nice to him too, and have made sure that every few days he gets a full nights sleep, including two nights where we've slept apart to make sure he doesn't get disturbed, because he has to get up for work.

But now he's telling me (at 10am) that he's 'really tired', when really the truth is that he had a full nights sleep last night, a lie-in until gone 9am this morning, and the reason he feels tired is actually that he's had the best part of a bottle of wine, whereas I have had half a glass.

Sorry, just had to rant..........

Oh and Natasha is doing green poo today, so evidently I am doing a rubbish job of breastfeeding her too, just as my Mum predicted I would. :(

Oh, Snaggles - you are not doing a rubbish job of breast feeding - isn't Natasha thriving? Of course she is (as you can see by your avatar picture!)

I only managed to breast feed my first for 4 days (which we stayed in hospital for) but the midwives began topping him up with formula, so I just gave in. I wish I'd lasted as long as you have.xxxxxxxxx

As for OH - no stamina, that's their problem!!

Thanks KellsBells. I think the green poo means they're not getting enough hind milk - I'll see how she goes tomorrow, I've been really trying to make sure she's feeding properly, so I'll see if the nappies are normal colour again tomorrow. The health visitor is coming on Tuesday so at least I can get her weighed and see if she's putting on weight.

RIGHT you.. shut it right there. YOU ARE NOT doing a rubbish job of breastfeeding... your mum is a bat and deserves a slap with a wet trout for saying things like that. Green poo is NORMAL even in breastfed babies. I've seen poo's every colour of the rainbow and each one has never been a sign of being a rubbish mum or not feeding right etc.

You have done an amazing job to breastfeed for so long. Ashli wouldn't breastfeed full stop and Kaitlyn had 2 in the hospital and that was it!!! PLEASE please please don't put yourself down. Babies are hard work as it is without beating yourself up.. trust me I speak from experience!!

Ah, didn't know that about the green poo - but I'm sure everything will be ok. The boys used to produce all sorts of multi coloured poos - espacially when we were weaning and they ate carrots!

The worst was the dog when he ate Frolics dog food - lets just say it was almost glowing!! (and I don't mean the dog!)

Hahahaha, thanks for that....it made me laugh and then do one of those snotty half laughing, half crying noises lol. I'm so anxious about everything at the moment, I don't know what's wrong with me. Every time I pick her up I'm terrified I'm going to drop her, or break her, and I worry about every little thing - it's much harder than it looks, this parenting business, isn't it? How come everyone else makes it look so simple and natural?

Oh, in case you're not online tomorrow, hope you have a fantastic birthday, whatever you end up doing.
