Bunny you do make me giggle!

I haven't been doing that much - honest! Most of it involved sitting on the sofa and filling in forms or setting up stuff on my internet banking. Stu did the worst job - tidying Ryan's room, which he then came home from school and messed up again!

One of my friends is coming round tomorrow for a coffee, haven't seen her since Xmas so it will be nice to catch up.

Oh, I have to tell you this, although it's nothing to do with money saving and probably way too much information!

I'm breastfeeding as you know, and I'm having a fairly amusing but quite tricky problem. The milk is starting to gush and squirt (up until now it's been coming out fairly steadily), and I keep covering poor little Natasha's face (and clothes) in it, which she absolutely hates! She wont feed while she's covered in it, she stops feeding if so much as a drop rolls down her cheek.

So I'm having to express some milk before I start each feed, but I think this is just making it worse, as then I produce even more milk than before!!

I'm going to start selling it lol! HA! I knew I would find a money-saving solution!! :rotfl:

    Blimey,
Milk machine! Can you try expressing a bit off into the sink first so it doesn't 'gush' on her? My friend froze all her excess and used it to make food for her son once she started weaning...
Honsetly though, do try to rest...

Yes, expressing a bit first stops the 'spray effect', but I think I just produce even more milk the next time. Can your boobs actually explode? :D

I haven't been saving the milk I've been expressing because I've nothing sterile to store it in, but I might try and sort something out tomorrow. I think you can only freeze it for a month though, is that right?

I thought it was 3 if you had a good freezer. I got those disposable milk bag as they were a little easier to store, but then I could never express much at all!! Look here for more info - http://www.kellymom.com/

I thought breast milk could be frozen for 6 months? It's actually sterile when it comes out so freezes well..

Oh, well that's good, I can freeze it and it will still be okay in a couple of months then. When shes well established with her feeding, I can get Stu to try her with the occasional bottle of it.

It's sweeter than normal milk so the cheese and butter might be out, although the yoghurt and fromage frais might work lol! :rotfl:

God, I'm so silly, I accidentally washed a breast pad with a darks load this morning - everything is covered in fluffy bits, it's going to take me FOREVER to get it all off. I've tried washing it all again but it didn't work, so I'll just have to sit there for hours with a roll of sellotape! Will I ever learn??!! :D
