some points to consider: probably nothing to worry about at school,
at least you've had notice of redundancy plenty of time to plan around it,
factories etc always looking for his skills
anyway you have a lovely new baby to look after. dont worry it'll all come out in the wash... as the saying goes

I didn't realise you could apply for the child benefit online....d'oh! Oh well, it's been posted now so hopefully it wont take too long. Haven't rung the tax credits helpline yet but it's next on the list ;) - not sure if we will be entitled to anything though because I think we are still paying them back from the overpayment they made to us THREE BLOODY YEARS AGO!!!!! ....ooops.....and breathe........

I've tried changing the title of the thread but it didn't work - not sure if it's just me doing something wrong (probably).

Hope you're right about it not being too serious with Ryan's school, Stu picked him up today (I'm taking advantage of his last day of paternity leave :)) and his teacher did comment that his behaviour has been much better today.

Annie - please don't apologise for the delay, I'm sure you've got enough on your plate at the moment.

Stu's being really sweet, I think he can tell I'm feeling a bit fed up today, partly because of money/his job/Ryan, and partly because I'm a bit nervous about being on my own with Natasha tomorrow when he goes back to work. I'm sure it will all be fine though. It might be nice to have a bit of peace lol :D

  • aww snaggles sorry to hear of stu's job but i agree the time in which he will be made redundant will give him plenty of time to find a new job. Good to hear ryan was ok at school today, shame about his teacher not being able to make the meeting hope he is able to feel stable again soon. oh and good luck for tomorow going it along, i am sure you will be fine :D

You know when a day goes from bad to worse.......

Stu has just had a text message from a mate at work - he's going to be made redundant in August/September because they're closing down. :(

He's known it was on the cards for ages, but it WOULD have to happen now!

    Snaggles honey

Sorry to hear your in the same boat as us :(:(

If you want to vent I'm all ears and good luck for Stu finding something else - what does he do?

Hey Mrs S, sorry to hear that awful news, no time is a good time and like you say especially now. But at least you've got some notice and can do something redress the balance. Keep your pecker up and OHs. Lenny
