sainsburys brand (Phil Smith?) SOS Conditioner - wiba no. am finding nothing is helping my really dry (bleached) hair - any recs?

I use the Aussie 3 min miracle conditioner in my hair rather then just when washing it. Usually put a line of it into mousse and put thru hair - helps a bit as my hair naturally dry n frizz-prone. :)

Great tip podsbird. Never thought of that. Used to live the Aussie stuff - not bought cos of stash! I gave hair a good (gentle) brush yesterday and I was probably being harsh when compared it to cotton wool. but it is in need of TLC. as part of the challenge I've been using shampoos I wouldnt normally - ie a pink Lee Stafford one that was v.harsh and is now being used as as a hand wash. Also when sorting stash today found jojoba oil - so may leave some of that in it tonight. Thanks podsbird! :A

    Hello everyone,
I have been continuing my no buy toiletries/makeup/skincare/haircare for quite a while now. I thought I was going to have to break down and buy a new cleanser as with it being winter in Australia and finishing my best cleanser and having to use other cleansers I had in my stash, my skin developed dry patches and felt tight and awful. Luckily i had a look thru my arsenal of products and found some jojoba oil which I decided to use as a cleanser and it has worked brilliantly, my OH even commented on how great my skin was looking (and it was even that time of month). I am feeling very very happy with my new cleanser!!

Posting a nearly used up, only a few splutters to go:

Neals Yard power berry moisturiser (freebie with a mag) - WIBA - no. Nice enough to use but very watery. Just shows that chasing up freebies on magazines isnt always a good idea. Would like to use an organic moisturiser long term though.

Max Factor 2000 calorie mascara - WIBA - yes. Only binned as it's been open quite a few months. I like this one and another one of Max Factors (a lengthening one). Stash includes MF lengthening one, Rimmel pink one and the Superdrug 2true brand. So going to flirt with the Rimmel and Superdrug and then see if I return faithfully to Max Factor.

I can really recommend Green People's Spf 15 Day Solution personally. You can get a sample from their website (like I did) for about £3. Once I use up more from my stash, I'll definitely be buying the full-sized bottle. They will have new offers up for June soon and they have 10% quidco. :T

I personally don't have any UU to report, but I gave my OH's sis the BS Nutriganics toner that didn't play nice with my sensitive skin as well as some unused Lush shower jelly samples for her little one. I'm happy that they will be going to a home where they'll get used.

I also retrieved money from Paypal from the items I sold on eBay last month.

I've been using my two little bottles of grapeseed oil and sweet almond oil (I make a small mixture of the two of them together) and have been using them as a night eye cream and have been happy, except when I get the mixture too close my eyes and then get all stingy :rotfl:

THanks for the rec vatic - green people, will look out for that. sadly still many face moisturisers to go. although I've been lazy and not been applying at night. that will help use up the stash and get me to nicer stuff.

    Binned/used up:
Revlon lip gloss, nude lustre - wiba no. nice colour, texture etc, not sticky. but quite pricey for a lip gloss. about £7 I think?

Eyes Lips Face (ELF) lip gloss, baby lips - wiba no. was only £1.50 and had a nice screw up applicator sponge thingie and a nice menthol taste. made my lips dry though. may try the bourjois menthol/minty looking one, one day.

hi everyone, two more use ups to report:
Body SHop strawberry shower gel WIBA - no really didn't like the smell
Smashbox colour correct primer WIBA - not a bad product but sort of became a symbol of frivolous spending, got this and 2 eye shadows from a very good sales assistant, when i got home realised i already had similar eye colours and the clarins instant touch smoother so was a complete waste of money. however, have seen the error of my ways and have been sooo good this year.
will continue the good work in June.
Quick question for everyone - i do seem to have an abundance of body lotion - does anyone have any alternative uses for it - would it make an intensive hair treatment for example?

I'm like you and have tons of body lotion. I think it is my "worst" product for hoarding loads and using up slowly. I have been trying to remember to use mine every night as foot cream, and as hand cream. Also, I'm determined to work my way through the half-finished bottles, and travel sized ones, to vary it a bit as well as finish things quicker.

I personally wouldn't use it on my hair, as its often a bit oily, but for dry or damaged hair, I imagine that it would be no problem to use it as a hair treatment so long as you washed it out well.
