was very good in boots today fancied some lancome make up and seriously considered spending £45 quid  then remembered my debts!
Off on hols next week so have an excuse to go to boots for sun cream. Is it sad that we only booked the holiday yesterday and i have already put my toiletries together :rotfl:

In any case, airports are better for cosmetic/toiletry bargains that Boots IMO. DH might be working overseas three days weekly soon, and I'm excite i might mean duty free shopping lists!

Well I've been MIA for a while... been using up loads! I started with 20-25 body moisturisers, I have 1 and a half left now before I start on my [STRIKE]new[/STRIKE] 'good' stuff :j I have loads of BS body butters, so I'll get onto them soon :T

Bought 2 more tubs of S&G flake away recently, with the 3rd off. I go through that quite quickly, so it makes sense to buy it on offer.

I've decided that as soon as I use up my current cleanser (No7 radiance boosting), I'm going back to Eve Lom. It makes my skin beautiful and lasts for aaaaaaaages. The radiance boosting was nice as first, now I'm finding it too greasy - possibly because we're coming into summer and my skin isn't as dry as it was when we started in January :)

    Congratulations, Lillian :j

I have been in Wilkinsons,Poundland,Poundworld,Boots,M & S,Sainsburys, House of Fraser and B & M today and not bought any toiletries!! I was very tempted but just thought why spend money with only two days till the end of the month. I am very proud of myself! I think I need to be more realistic with my target next month so will give it some thought.

    Morning ladies!
Just a small use up to report - a packet of Tesco face wipes. WIBA - they were very cheap (less than 30p I think) and quite basic but the did work, so in a very frugal month I may resort to them again. They've been replaced by a No 7 4-in-1 pack of wipes from the stash collected during a No7 £5 off bonanza.

I am also fed up of the Tresemme shampoo and conditioner I am using (I'm about half way through the big bottles) so have put them away for now and have started a Herbal Essences pair instead. I will go back to the Tresemme when these are gone but my hair seems to get used to a shampoo and get a bit lank and lifeless. Changing shampoos seems to help - I am due a haircut soon though.

The Clarins Hydraquench moisturiser is running low and may only last a week or so more - will be replaced by a Clinique one from the stash.

One small purchase to report - 89p on an everyday shower gel - will add to the total but have come in well under budget for May!

Are we having a June thread?

Blimey freyasmum: that's amazing progress, but you must simply slide everywhere with that amount of moisturiser on you! ;)

  • P&W sounds like you're forgiven to me. If you use the product, and need the product and have a gift for someone to boot then thats not bad. you just need to make sure you're strong when you go to pick it up instore.

Thank you mineallmine, I'm glad I'm forgiven! I will definitely use the products. Need them? Well I only have 3 other facial washes "in stock" so that's not bad for me, I just need to be able to use the other ones first I think or else I'll never use them if I go straight to the Sanctuary ones. But yes, you are spot on - I MUST be strong when I go into Boots to pick it up! I was sent a gift voucher for Boots last week (for doing surveys) and so am planning on using that for all the essentials I need to get every month (toothpaste, mouthwash and cotton wool pads) and get nothing else! Wish me luck! :)

I used my Lush Avobath bath bomb this morning and I agree with the ladies who posted before - it is lovely! I would definitely buy again and in fact I think it is my new favourite, just edging Butterball out of the top spot! Very moisturising, lovely scent and makes the water all shimmery too. Love it! But.... must resist Lush for a few more months!

Rachelmk - yes I'm sure there is going to be a June thread - or at least I really really hope so! I actually spent 2 hours yesterday making a list of all the things in my stash. I gave up the last 2 times I tried to do it. I have done the challenge for 2 months, given tons away and used tons up (it seems like) but I still have horrifying amounts of stuff. If I feel very brave later I may post my list  :rotfl:

Some more UUs to report today, yay

Skin Doctors Skin Plump (the one that sounds something like Antarctic but isn't!:)) - I have been using this as a day moisturiser. WIBA? Hmmm probably not as its a bit heavy for my skin and left me a bit shiny, but quite good for where I have lines and wrinkles. Got it as a freebie, but wouldn't pay full price I don't think.

Elvive Conditioner for coloured hair - WIBA? Yes, together with the shampoo its one of my favourites and suits my hair well. But always good to have a change, so its on to an Avon set for coloured hair now.

Philosophy Purity Facial Wash - WIBA? Yes, maybe as part of a special offer set. It was very mild and gentle, and a little went a long way. This was a half-finished bottle I had had for ages, so it was mixed blessings to see it finished (glad to finish it up, but I liked it too!).

Travel size Pantene shampoo for sleek/smooth hair - left with one use in it from a holiday last year, so used that up before moving on to my Avon shampoo for coloured hair. Was OK but nothing special. Glad its one more bottle in recycling!

OK well sorry for the long post. Am trying to get it all in one post than make a pest of myself on the board by making loads of separate ones.

Have a nice Bank Holiday Sunday everyone.
    Love from Candice x

There's probably a larger surface area to cover than for most of you :o:rotfl::p

Some weren't huge in size and I've been using the slightly less desirable stuff to totally slather my feet and then put on socks before bed too :A

    used up:
sainsburys brand (Phil Smith?) SOS Conditioner - wiba no. am finding nothing is helping my really dry (bleached) hair - any recs?

I use the Aussie 3 min miracle conditioner in my hair rather then just when washing it. Usually put a line of it into mousse and put thru hair - helps a bit as my hair naturally dry n frizz-prone. :)

    UU

Champneys grapefruit bath stuff - at last (by adding to hubbies bath LOL) WIBA - no, totally over it after using 3 shower gels and 2 body lotions up. Sure I still have a bit more in the stash as well yet

Nivea young facial scrub WIBA - yes, even tho my skin is a bit past being considered 'young' it still has T-zone. Works well, as does the facial wash.

Boots PnP hand cream. WIBA Not really as the smell is totally awful, tho it seemed to do a good job.

Dove spray deodrant WIBA No. Tried again with this travel size can, but the result was the same as last time "sticky" Binned it.

Purchases this month are low since joining thread and thinking about what I have more. Only got the essential lady stuff, toothpaste, a body butter (free with mag), and a bath oil (as it was 25% off). Got Boots PnPintense 2xserum and 1xnight cream on 342 yesterday, but lived 3 weeks without it and I really can feel the difference on my skin.

Next month will hopefully see more of the bits n bobs I have being used up :T

Bronnie, sorry I didn't reply earlier to your post but didn't really have a proper chance to post before getting ready to go away. To answer your question we went to Cornwall for the week (or as I call it, going home :)).

Started using my LE which I have to say I have really noticed a difference in my skin, especially my forehead. The only thing I'm not too sure about is when I put it on my dry skin and massaged it into my face for a bit it seems to get rubbed in and when I can't massage anymore I was using the muslin cloth to wipe it off. Does this happen with anyone else or am I doing something wrong?

Managed to eventually bin my moisturiser. I could probably have gotten one more day out of it but as I was adamant it wasn't going to go on holiday with me and it did I got fed up with it. Am now using the Liiv Botanicals one from Avon which I must say I really like. Not too sure about the consistency as it feels kind of moussey (sp?) but I think it may be that I've been used to using a lotion for god knows how long.

Sort of finished my talc as I put the last remaining bit into a new talc to save me taking 2 on holiday and also finished off a pack of cotton buds. So all in all quite pleased with what I've used up.
