Anyway, tried the Bio Oil on it, but not much difference, then on day 3 put a smear of the BS hemp hand protector on at bedtime. Miraculous. Totally healed and all the redness had disappeared by the next morning and it had really faded. It does contain lots of good stuff that cream, so will be experimenting again on the next injury!
No UUs for today... getting there!
Hope everyone is doing good today, I'll be back later to have a read :j0 -
just done a post holiday weigh in:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
for the 1st time ever(pregnancy apart) I weigh more than DH! 83.4 k to his 83.3.
he has been on at me for weeks saying I am getting fat(but I did give up wine in lent and didn't lose any weight so I thought there are no cals in wine:rotfl: and we had a bottle a night....plus pre and post dinner drinks and nightcaps on hols)
of course the cupboards are now full of wicked biscuits/choc bars and there are rolls galore and sausages in the fridge:eek:
also put all holiday clothes in the wardrobe and it is now stuffed so another reason not to buy any more clothes(other challenge)SOOOOOO all I have left is toiletries:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:reckon if I give up food/clothes and toiletries I will be able to have the new fireplace built(DH knocked a big hole in the wall BEFORE we got a quote to rebulid, nearly had a heart attack at the £2.5 K the man wants:eek::eek::eek:I suspect he does not want the work, despite the so called job shortage we have big probles getting workmen to do things round here, maybe I should do a bricklaying course(might help with weight issues too!!!!!)
did not do PYNM as too tires after day ironing /gardening ....need a holiday to recover from post holiday catch up:rotfl:0 -
Aw Rosemary sorry to hear your news. Are you still trying to get it off or are you happy with your weight? It is natural to put weight on as you age but it's worth remembering that if it's around the tummy it is seen to be more worrying.
The best way to lose weight is to gradually change your lifestyle, not to try and go on a starvation diet for a sort while.
You could always do what I did this morning..... I hunted for my car keys for about 5 minutes before I realised that DH had taken them to work. 8.48 I realsied this. The kids have school just over 1/2 a mile away and it's up a massive gurt hill. So I rang the school and to say they'd be late and then route marched them up to school. We made it there in 10 minutes! I have never done it that fast in my life. Even the kids were wheezing when we got to the top of the hill! Of course it takes a little while for your body to react so by the time I got back home (a lovely mum gave me a lift from 1/2 way down the hill to the bottom of my road), I started sweating. Just over an hour later, I think I may nearly have recovered enough to eat my breakfast without throwing up!
Added to that rubbishyness, I have orange shiny legsDebt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

my tummy is my problem area as from the back I look quite slim:rotfl:all my family put on weight so easily so think genes do have something to do with it.My weight has been stable(if too high) for years now at around 79 kilos and have not changed diet so no idea where excess came from:(I do try and keep fit too and swim 3 times a week(inc 1 x aqua fit) and go ballroom dancing 2/3 times a week.
I think the weakness is cheese and wine in the evenings(despite my no wine in lent no loss of weight experiance)OH keeps saying I am fat but he is the 1st to say open a bottle and last night put the last potatoes on my plate saying "people are starving we can't waste food!!!!"
I expect I will lose a bit naturally going back to normal meals after 2/3 courses on holiday with wine and i am trying to cut back on the amounts I cook, years of feeding 4 males make that hard!!!and DH expects me to eat as much as him for some strange reason!
maybe I should start a "no buying fattening food in June " challenge0 -

Ha, me too! I did so well after giving up chocolate for lent - i def got slimmer. But now I'm eating just as much choc as i did before, and i can see the diference, rubbish. Maybe I should join Tara's chocolate challenge...! :eek:0 -
We've just started the Slimming World Extra Easy diet in our house, each of us for various reasons, some weight and some to tone up and all have seen great results in just a week (8lbs for my sister for instance and 1 backsize and 1 bra cup size for me
). Go on to the website you will be AMAZED at what you can eat - nothing is off limits! Big cooked breakfasts, treats and takeaways and unlimited chips (YUM), potatoes, pasta, meat, veg, fruit etc. It's definately healthy if you look at it, and there are no cravings as you can have stuff!

roahydoshy I'm on SW too:D I've lost 11.5lbs in 4 weeks and thats with taking the night off after my WI each week:silenced:
Tara if you're interested have a look at the SW website, there is a sample 7 day meal plan on there which would give you some ideas.
Nothing much to report here although I did use up a lush bubble bar over the weekend. Not sure which one it was but it was purple and smelt lurvelly so I would definitely buy again (although I have £25 in gift vouchers remaining from xmas and a boxful of lush goodies upstairs so there won't actually be a need to buy anything for quite a while:cool:):starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0
